I think the pacing works here. Keima is under the gun and rushed in story, so the fast pace of the episode helps communicate that.

Plus, finally they show the awesomeness of Keima. While I didn't mind the first couple seasons taking a slower pace, they did cause a lot of the potential audience to think that the main motivation to watch/read The World God Only Knows is for the girls.

I know that was never true for me (nor for most of the manga fans I know). It was always about watching Keima act like an awesome shounen hero as he (deliberately) acts out the most hilarious of the common anime romance/dating sim tropes in order to SAVE THE WORLD! (and his precious games.)

Definitely the alpha geek.

I agree on the pacing, though even as an anime-only watcher it might just be a little too fast. But it's still in the acceptable range, but it is noticeably & significantly faster than the first season. But it worked fine this episode. This type of pace would grate a little, however, it they kept it up the entire series.

But the pacing does fit and it does fit Keima. They even pointed out this issue in the Preview, hehe.

I actually liked the pacing this time around. It just goes to show that God always has a plan.

The library scene went exactly as it was supposed to, hilariously so. If you guys heard a strange metallic sound during that part, it was the sound of Saintess going into cardiac arrest.

And I'm absolutely loving the OP and ED. Fitting intro and outro for a God.

My biggest complaint with the anime so far is that they've sort of removed a lot of the humor that was in the manga, which is a shame because the goddess arc is hilarious in the manga (at least for me). Keima was just kind of super serious in this episode which made it a little boring to watch.

The plot is intact, which is good, although I kind of want to say that the anime feels like it's going a little slow? Like, they're speeding through each event pretty quickly, but the scenes themselves feel like they could be a little faster.

It far surpassed my expectations, I was completely drawn into this episode compared to last week, some might say they're rushing things but I'm completely satisfied with what we're having here! Hopefully the rest of the season will be just as good.

I know everyone thinks that "boy walks in on the girl while bathing" trope is a staple in any harem series but this time it served a difference purpose from what I saw.

Keima's interest in 3D girls is non-existent. He can even walk in on Haqua without getting embarrassed or even reacting in any way. Haqua on the other hand..

Also, I finally got to see Shiori again! And I'm sure it won't be the last time I'll see her

EDIT: I also notice that they should've added a tagline with the title of this season:

its not a yaoi moment at all its more like a reversal of the conventional

Don't care. Shiori and Haqua thought Yui was boy, so therefor in their eyes, it was a Yaoi moment!

Okay this episode doesn't make sense. We have someone who just stabbed a goddess with a magic dagger and then says she better finish her off....with a normal ass Xacto knife.

^ well, normal knife is more dangerous in real life...

Maybe the purpose of the magic dagger is to seal the goddess' power, not to kill her. Hence she need another tool to finish her job.

Well that was a significant improvement from the first episode. I don't feel nearly as lost anymore. I love the new Keima/Haqua team. Sure Elsie is sweet but Haqua provides a different dynamic working with him that helps keep things fresh instead of the same old tactics/interactions between demon and buddy. I was a bit disappointed that most of the girls they reintroduced as potential goddesses were characters i didn't particularly care for in the first place but with the reintroduction of Shiori all is forgiven. She's just as cute as I remembered her.

Yui cozying up to Keima was a pleasant treat. I really wish we could have seen that arc animated, and not just because I like gender swap scenarios. I'm feeling much more positively about this season that I was this time a week ago.

I was thinking along the same lines. The first dagger takes care of the goddess' defenses but you need an earth weapon to destroy the host body or something like that.
