The purpose of this thread is to provide a place to discuss all things Jin related.

To keep the discussion enjoyable for all Aquarion EVOL fans, please follow the guidelines below and stay on-topic!

I'll open off: we know he is written as an otaku. Question: does anyone else get the sense he's also written a bit like he's "royalty"? Something about the way he interacts with the other hole-digging brothers seems to me to be very "I'm a prince and not used to interacting with such commoners".

In a way he is royalty, though, since he's (aside from Kagura) a one of a kind for Altair. He is the last child to be born on the planet and is, to others, something of a beacon of hope that maybe, one day, other children will also be born to help the planet recover. He's also young, which means that, unlike the others, he's many years of good breeding ahead of him when he finds an Eve.

Though his interactions on Vega would, imo, fall more on being taken aback from a lack of experience with such and petty things like digging holes to get to girls.

Yay for character sub forum!

Yeah, I think Jin is suppose to be the otaku of the bunch (Zessica is the tease, Mikono is the shy young lady, etc), but one thing I like about this show is that despite what stereotype a character gets pigeon holed into (Andy will appreciate this unintended pun XD) they end up exceeding the confines of their role.

Mikono and Amata for example are going beyond their former useless mind set, and Zessica has more sides to her than just being the seemingly flirty hot chick. I like the fact that while Jin might be an Alicia otaku he is also a very capable tactician and has given Neo DEAVA a run for their money more than once. And despite coming off as cold and introverted I think his development with Yunoha in the last couple of episodes has made us aware that he's also very naive.

The next episode preview shows Yunoha crying so I now totally hate his guts. He better make it up to her or else there will be blood...

Defense mechanisms turn on. Broken heart DO NOT WANT." If you prepare yourself, it hurts less that way. :/ I've always found Jin so cute and adorable with his awkwardness. Being in a school setting really brought it out the best him him. Spoiler: If had continued that way, without the numerous death flags, he would've became my second favorite character. He probably is but I'm just in denile mode right now.:/
