Hi everyone, I am looking for a really old series. I know it was on TV around 1996-97, back when anime was common on TV in Australia. It was a modern-day show, the only 2 scenes I can remember are one where 2 people, man and woman, are driving out of the city and the woman warns the man to get out of the area as something big is going to go down. The show then cut to a scene with several girls, each in different coloured uniforms, backed up against a wall (guessing they were being held hostage). I can not remember much else about it, it COULD have been the original Bubblegum Crisis although I am not sure, I was only 4-5 when it was on, did not get to see more because my parents found me out.

I just finished marathoning Barakamon. Absolutely ADORED Naru X03! I liked all the characters, but she was so adorable I had to hug my pillow to get the love out, lol. Anyway, I recalled there being an anime that I remember people saying it was good; there was a guy in college, and he was taking care of three little girls, ranging from, like 3, to maybe 12 or something. I can't remember any other details other than that.
Also, if someone could compare the two for me, at least in terms of how likable the girls are compared to Naru, I'd doubly appreciate it =03. Quote:

The mood is pretty much the same as in Barakamon, but Papakiki is more about the family, some drama over loosing their parents, and comedy from living together. Two girls are older than Naru and act more mature, and one is younger but she does not have much of a role. If you liked Barakamon, you should read Yotsubato which is exactly the same. You could also watch Aishiteruze Baby and Usagi Drop, both are about raising adorable little girls.
