One of the predictable routes, and typical shonen fair. I was hoping for something a bit more, rather than repeated one-sided fights and repeated power-ups. Still, it's not bad, and given what happened to Lucy last chapter, this was emotionally satisfying.

If Mashima is going to go this route, I want to see it continue as one-sided ownage. I want Sting and Rogue to use Dragon Force, and still get pwned. I predict Gadjeel and Natsu to get beat down a bit, before getting their own power-ups, though.

Oh, I'd also like to see Natsu and Gadjeel combine their magic and powers for some teamwork attacks that Sting and Rogue lack.

Not much to say, other than that. Decent chapter, if a bit too typical.

Natsu and Gajeel probably take this match. It was good to see Sabertooth get what's coming to them, but like you said this is kinda predictable.

Anyone got any predictions on how the rest of Fairy Tail vs Sabertooth matches go?

So what lessons did we learn this week kids?

A- Mangainn can't scanlate for shit (no, I cannot do a better job than them, but I at least can honestly admit that I can't scanlate instead of just giving a subpar product just to please the masses).

B- The youngest generation of anything always talks the talk, but rarely they can walk the walk.

C- Hiro Mashima just made an implicit burn on Reshiram and Zekrom from Pokémon-v-;;. BITCH, PLEASE! NEW GENERATION MY ASS!

This is one Nakama power beating I'll gladly welcome to Sting, I don't give a fuck if he does have a tragic crybaby story with his pissant cat. If it was Rogue however, THAT I could understand, but not for Sting. So, just to be sure, no chapter next week due to Obon right?

Fairy Tail is more than likely going to win.

Natsu & Gajeel probably win their fight.

Laxus will probably beat Orga.

Gray and Erza are the two most interesting fights to me, because I can see either one of them losing their fights. Even though Gray is awesome and Erza is Erza. lol

Mashima probably won't give FT a clean sweep, so it'll probably come down to 3 wins to 1. However I could see a 2-2 tie with a tie-breaker final round to decide the winner.

Plus there's always the chance that the evil plan that has been going on during the tournament will end the fights prematurely.

That was a nice chapter. Nice that Natsu and Gajeel didn't get their butt kicked and gave then beating. Not shocked by their power. I wish sting was a good guy though.

I do wish translators used the official translations from Mashima though. Like spelling Gajeel's name like that, not Gazil. Anyway, it's a little thing.

As it's said a rather expected chapter with the fight but still a good fight.

Just waiting on Natsu to bring out the lightning attacks, he hasn't shown them since the tournament started has he?

Hopefully that should should put a stomp to the dragon force and not drag things out too long.

They're gonna get beaten up a bit more because of Dragon Force. If anything, to 'feel' the conviction of Sting and Rogue as fellow DS. Of course Natsu can just pull:

Gajeel: "It's one thing to bear your own life - but are you strong enough to bear the live of your teammates? Cuz we are. And we'll prove it to you." *aura starts to flare up*

And it looks like Juvia's popularity has gotten her onto the Team Natsu color spreads. She certainly has grown as a character and a real beauty too. Has NOTHING to do with her new hairstyle... or Mashima's perchant for showing off her beautiful cleavage either... >.>

What other elements could there be for dragon slayers? Counting artificial ones we currently have: fire, steel, electricity, poison, wind, light and shadow

I don't know if we will see water, earth or grass in the future

I think there has to be a water one, has to be, if there's gonna be a DS to rival Natsu in some way I think water is where we have to go.
Altho I can see that rivalry being as much for the lolz as it is serious
But Gray still stands at the top at being Natsu's rival and vice versa.

The Mangastream translation calls him Gajeel. Though I'm pretty sure they called him Gazille the other week...

Well I'm pleasantly surprised, well done Mashima, you did exactly the opposite of what I expected (until the end). I wanted epic curbstomp and I got an epic curbstomp.

Now, I'm sure Natsu and Gajeel will struggle a bit next chapter against Dragon Force...but then again they weren't even serious until now and they have their own Dragon Force (while not activated at will...Natsu does it most fights anyway).

You know, I'm really starting to doubt that Sting and Rogue really did kill their own parent dragons, even Natsu and Gajeel find it strange that they killed them with their level of skill and while I'm sure Igneel and Metallicana(?) are probably real monsters amongst dragons a Holy and a Shadow dragon don't sound very weak.

Now...should I start guessing that next chapter Natsu and Gajeel will be nearly beat so Mashima can prove me wrong again? I don't mind being wrong if this is what being WRONG is :P
