For the SOTM, I have to say I'm not a fan of the border. I think it degrades the rest of it which is on the other hand very nice. The border makes it different but in this case I don't think it fits.

And the wallpapers, quite <3
Thanks. As for SotM, you might be right.

Tried something simpler...

I'm somewhere between single solid black and the original... Dunno...

Great job on the two wallies! I liked them so much I'm using them as desctop wallpapers at the moment! : ). I'd love to see more of those.

Original!

Normal borders are so boring and innovation is the key for SotM's. Also photos, I need photos!

@escimo: Any of those I think works. It makes it more... "whole/consistent" in lack of a better word.

@eps: Normal 1-2px borders can be boring yeah, but it's something about transparent/shape borders that drives me up walls. Innovative and different isn't good in all cases. However, if the sig itself was given more of a "post card" look, then I think it would have fit better, the edges would have intensified that feeling. That's just me though, with what I've seen in other places >_<

I actually was thinking about the same thing. Added a bit of old paper texture to it. I think now the border works quite a bit better. Also got rid of the overlay border in favor of a simpler solid one.

Levels might need a bit of work still...

Yea, it's getting there. Much better IMO. Maybe some B&W (just a bit), for further enhancement, would do the trick but not too sure. That would ruin the colors perhaps..

Funny, I've always thought was a representation of an old photo and seeing your latest version, it looks like my hunch was right. Perhaps if you're heading in that direction, you might want to try out how it would look like inside a real antique picture frame. Ok -- maybe you aren't as interested as me

Good job there escimoomoo.

Escimo-san didn't originally put Aria on the sig for nothing.

Tried playing around with the saturation and levels... Frankly I'm not sure either.

Good job there escimoomoo.
An old drawing or painting was more what I had in mind but not that far off the mark.
Antique frame is a no no.

LOL. Diablo 3 and Soul Eater are both a bit of a leap from Aria. It's Mizunashi Akari.

Latest draft. Extended the buildings a bit and played around with the perspective and levels a bit.

One more wallie, these things keep coming out the wazoo. A few more in the works. Ran out of inspiration though so it might take a while.

BRS fanboys and fangirls, enjoy.

1920x1200

And a few photos.
