Lip flaps should be different for JP/NA release. It was the same with MGS4, IIRC, which they cited as the reason why they won't do dual audio.

Erm yeah no I still don't see it, especially with multiple replays.

At best you could say it's 'different' from what people are used to but it's by no means bad.

Woah...

During the trailer I was actually a little shocked by how unfamiliar the new voice sounded... the "kept you waiting" line was a little better then, maybe becasue I had time to get used to the voice a little.

Sutherland's performance is fine. No issues with his line deliveries. I'm enjoying the English cast so far.

It wasn't just you. That entire conversation was a bit hard to follow because I really couldn't identify Sutherland as Snake. By the end of the trailer the voice was starting to grown on me and I actually found the "Kept you waiting" line pretty decent but I think that it'll depend a lot on whether people understand what Kojima is going for here or not. As the trailer went on I got thinking that Keither's voice may just sound about right for an older Snake. It's a bit hard to swallow after MGS4 was done with Hayter's voice but I can see how Big Boss would get a voice like that given age.

I'm still not happy with this and I'll really have to see how some of the more cheesy lines work before I give my final judgment. (and there will be cheesy lines I bet, this is Metal Gear after all. )

Game Overview

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes acts as a prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and takes place one year after the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Assuming control of the legendary Snake (a.k.a. Big Boss), players are charged with the infiltration of Camp Omega where both Paz and Chico are held. The hostages hold key information concerning Snake and his private military organisation that Snake and his ally Kaz Miller must prevent from being exposed. Ground Zeroes charts the rescue and the subsequent fallout that leads into the beginning of the The Phantom Pain. Ground Zeroes also acts as a bridge between previous Metal Gear Solid titles, easing players into the vaunted open world of Metal Gear Solid V.

So 1/3 of a full metal gear is like... 2 hours? Repeat playthrough and failures not withstanding

Naked Snake still looks unbelievably badass even when old.

Yeah, he's always wearing a long brown coat with black gloves.

The only picture of him without clothes is a picture of his body in the MGS1 manual, I think. He has two normal arms there, but that is now retconned it seems.

He could simply have gotten a limb graft. Remember, Ocelot lost his hand, then grafted Liquid's hand to it?
