Where are the good animes

Pretty good first episode, they even cut the ED so there's more episode.

Enjoy your other mediocre anime this season. There's a lot of them.

And Mio's mine now.

From what I've quickly checked, they went all the way through Prologue, Chapter 1 and Part 1 of Chapter 2, given that each volume seems to have 4 chapters. It may not be bad, pacing-wise.

It seems ok. It didn't wow as a first episode, but seemed to just get things set up going forward. Will be curious to see how the next few episodes go.

That OP was something .

MC has a pretty cool looking weapon and will see how strong this guy really is. Clearly some story going on for why he and his father left their village. The episode ended on a solid note so I'll keep on watching.

Finally watched the episode itself. It's watcheable, I'll say that. It'll likely never be anything amazing, but watcheable. The forum reactions should be far more amusing to see next week. No real complaints with the VAs either, animation was fine.

In itself, it was a good episode. But I don't like the changes made to the chara design, I vastly prefer it in the manga.

Pacing was alright, somehow decent animation, more, likeable characters and it has plot (in small caps). How many animes these day can say this much?

It was entertaining. Not as much as Maria, but far better than Cancolle and Duo. Unless something goes terribly wrong, I will enjoy it until the end.

Or what they don't if censoring gets even more heavy.

Basara's hand shaking afterward as he if were afraid of something is along with the flashback is probably related to that. He's almost like PTSD victim, so there very likely some catch to using that way he did.

Watched the first ep a moment ago. Not the best thing ever, obviously. But not the worst, either. A few shots were pretty awkward, though a couple of others were done pretty decently? Hrmm. Not sure how to feel. It's one of those things where I know it's shitty, but it's not quite bad enough for me to flat-out hate it. I'll also be curious to see people's reactions to the next episode/how they adapt it...

If I continue to watch this the whole way through for some reason, it would be mostly for Maria. XD

This picture would probably sum up this series.

Actually, the scene where Basara's face is hidden in a shadow after Maria's failed attempt at memory manipulation reminded me a bit of the scene where in Railgun from Accel perspective we could see Accel failing to insta-kill a certain high school student of academy city. Though I think the OP was put at a not so perfect moment.

Up until the "revelation" scene it was pretty solid. Then it just kind of mutated into a DxD clone. (Not to say that was unexpected given the title and all...)

But, hey, at least it is a bit more daring than absolute duo:

whoaa.. the pacing is horrible in my opinion
this prologue and first chapter should be adapted longer because this is a crucial part
I remember when I first encounter this series, I was totally think this is a slice-of-life series until that sudden revelation at night
The first episode actually kills some melancholic and emotional feeling

rather than that, at least the censoring is not too strong
and also looks like the battle is okay...
and the opening is badass (except of that overload unnecessary nudity)
and also of course because of Maria !!!

looking forward for future episode
I hope they would catch up with manga soon

Question. How many episodes is this show?

*sigh*

Well ... no thanks. Not my thing.

Dropped after ep 1.

It does indeed remind me of the Highschool DxD novel I tried to read.

This is actually closer to Hagure Yuusha and for obvious reasons. If we are talking about ecchi levels, DxD can only feel shamed.
