Ever stop to think about WHY Natsuki's Shizuru's loved one? I'm all for the pairing, in fact I adore it! But, in the series, we never get to see how Shizuru came to harbor these feelings for Natsuki. Any thoughts?

Like a lot of things in Mai Hime, they leave things like this for the DVD omake or the drama cds. Other revelations from the cd: Tomoe's... odd fetish is all Chie's fault.

Two Words:

"Love is."

True love is to be with someone for who they are, without bells and whistles, and not forcing them to change.

And considering Natsuki's cold attitude, life experience or not, it just goes to show how sincerely warm and loving a woman Shizuru is.

I'm with Ronin on this one, few people can for sure explain why they love their respective other.

But on the other hand, is it so strange for a up-front perfectionistic, manipulative woman like Shizuru to fall for a head-strong, proud and brash one like Natsuki?

But there's always a reason to go beyond love and romance, which Natsuki and Shizuru aren't at yet.

I think Natsuki has a certain innocence about her. I dont know exactly why and how, but thats what I think is foremost about Natsuki. (cant really find words to describe it now, let me sleep on it) So maybe thats one of the things Shizuru loves above her.

I think girl loves bad "boy".

In this case, because Shizuru has soooooo many fans.
Everyone adores her... "onee-sama~" or "kaichou-sama" here and there lol.

While in the case of Natsuki, she has her own attitude.
She has this headstrong character even if its towards Shizuru.

Perhaps Shizuru falls for this straightforward, head-strong character of Natsuki.
Like the feeling of everyone is nice to me, yet she is really different; she dares to show me attitude. (minus Haruka lol)

Not to mention that Natsuki is really hawt & cool on the outside, but in fact is a really shy & gentle girl.
Natsuki is like a treasure chest, the more u get to know her, the more interesting stuffs u will find out. E.g. she is a bra maniac, blushes easily... All are so different from what her appearance shows.

Hehe...so Shizuru must have loved the excitement of unvealing treasures...

Shizuru sees an honesty in Natsuki. Natsuki always speaks everything that comes out on her mind. And also, Natsuki is a very shy girl (more than Alyssa whom I think her shyness is nothing than fake!! hate her xp!!)

Maybe it's just my thought, I think shizuru likes Natsuki coz the blue-haired girl has a good body proportion??

lol, well she's certainly that alright... but for Shizuru, it's got to be the whole package. I think she loves every little thing about Natsuki, the good the bad and the... wait, there's not really any ugly with that girl is there? hehe
