Point taken. But Grimm's fraccion confirmed they didn't have the potential to evolve into VL's even before they became arrancar. So even if it were possible to evolve after becoming an arrancar, they wouldn't be able to prove it in the first place. Grimm on the other hand, was said to have such potential...the problem is we don't know if he ever became an VL by the time he became an arrancar. So either you're right & he's still an adjuchas that can't evolve further because of shinigamification, or he can't evolve further because he's already a VL. It's a tough call IMO.

only Halibel was confirmed, but only in the anime .. in the manga none .. the general consensus is that Starrk & Barragan are I think .. Halibel possibly because of the anime thing .. Ulquiorra too perhaps, esp with Segunda Etapa .. Yammy is weird, he can supposedly be above the Primera, but he needs to eat and store up reiatsu for a week/weeks before that

So the only things we have to suggest Grimm isn't a VL is a lack of confirmation (either way), facts and clues suggesting the top 4 to be VL's, and events that have implied VL's to be much weaker than anticipated? Well if that's all the proof you need to assume "there's no way" #6 can be a VL, then so be it. IMO, it's still a tough call.

6 of them were supposed to be enough to destroy SS. None shown came anywhere close to overwhelming their opponents, with the exception of the top 4, Halibel exempted (although she did take on quite a few at the same time).

Mainly the events from #3's flashback. Though plenty love to disregard all its content just because it's filler, I find it hard to do that since it does a good job of putting the actual strength of VL's and arrancars into perspective while helping to make some much needed sense to some of the outcomes of the FKT battles. In other words, it was one of those rare fillers that served to support canon content very well.

btw 3-rd databook confirmed Ulq & above were a VL .. and apparently, Ulq became an arrancar (or at least lost his mask) naturally


I guess it doesn't specifically state that Grimmjow was NOT a VL, so you can still hope ^^

While I can't claim to care enough about Grimm to hope he's a VL or not, I do appreciate you being understanding of my reluctance to come to a solid conclusion on the matter.
