I know shouldn't have expected anything different between these strange fighters, but really now......

The Dragon has a bad habit of changing clothes whenever her clothes get damaged, even in the slightest bit. Considering the fights she gets into, she must have a ton of spare clothing on her at all times...... She's also worried for her sister Nori considering ever since they were young, Nori would always follow her in terms of what she did which included fighting. Now that Nori had gained control within the first years (a bit later in the flashback, at this point Nori's sister is about to graduate), she can tell that Nori had her sights set on power. If it wasn't for Meru, Nori's sister felt that she would have grown weary of this lifestyle of constant fighting and wishes for Meru to change Nori as well since she will graduate soon. Meru accepts her request and Nori's sister gives Meru her tie I believe and Meru gives her her own tie as a graduation present lol. Thus the covenant was formed.

Meru then tells Rintaro that although she fought him briefly because she thought it'd be interesting (which upsets Rintaro of course), she also admits that she was able to confirm something. She believes Rintaro can carry on this covenant, basically as its successor. Meru wants to leave the country to pursue her dream of video game designing (even though she loved fighting a lot), plus she hardly goes on campus anymore and plans on dropping out.

Nori's last obstacle in overtaking her sister was beating Meru since Meru never lost to her sister, which was why Meru wanted to lose in front of Nori so Rintaro would inherit her spot and hopes he could be the one to change Nori. Rintaro accepts (in a way I guess), but says she must never admit defeat and give it everything she has. With that, Meru raises the flag, declaring that this time she will make a legitimate request. (Well it looks like this means that she'll take the fight seriously and won't purposefully lose so the torch can be passed on to Rintaro properly if he wins.)

Considering how much background and complications this covenant had, I figured I should probably do an in depth summary. So yeah, very nice chapter, never would have expected something like this behind the covenant considering how silly this manga has been. If anything is unclear feel free to ask.

Here, this post should explain everything about what's about to happen. And I was wrong, he isn't fighting the glasses girl (Nori) but the shorty (Meru). And his Oh Crap Face was because he now has to fight a dragon-level girl who isn't holding back, and win. All without touching her.

If you're referring to the "oh crap" face on the last page of CH8, he never worries over fighting usually. In this case, it's because of the girls surrounding him (actually his concerns have always been about girls lol). He thinks he should have declined because he didn't know all these girls would show up, and now he's freaking out over what he calls the sea of women.

Oh. I figured it was because he had to fight Meru, which would make it hard not to touch her.

The disease I think will get cured later on

As for his power we'll find out next chapter cause meru is more powerful than all the dragons and if he defeats her he's at the top

^This. The only thing that might keep it somewhat funny for a time is if the girls find out about it and tease the shit out of him...

Like I said, the disease is just an excuse for the mangaka to put in generic ecchi romcom situations into the story.

I doubt it will get cured for a long time.

judging by his options for the meru fight...

1) dodge until she tires

2) counter attacks via aikido techiques to use her own force against her

3) fight her like a man ( although this may cause the girls to look down on him and make his reputation even worse if we truly went all out)

4) its not your traditional fighting( Meru is a gamer after all)

5) show everyone the transfer was completed via slip of paper

6) run around like a headless chicken while everyone looks in confusion to what the hell is going on

I've never like the glasses wearing dragon, shes seems sooo stuck up and has people do her work for her. The other dragon I kinda find interesting because shes strong, stands her ground and pulls interesting evil faces that look .... well, evil but cool O_o. Maybe its because it shows she has tenacity.

So in this regard, I really hoping he doesnt work under her because of this stupid contract. Even tho her big sister seemed pretty cute and cool. Hes the master of Ayane and I hope it stays that way.

Maybe I am the only one, but I find it cool and unique that he suffers from an illness that can kill him if he gets too aroused. I am not expecting a quick fix cure (unless its medicine or a drug than can tempory ease the pressure), as its something flawed he has to deal with. My biggest qualm with this manga, is that most of the girls seem pretty relaxed with there tits hanging out showing off big cleavage without a second thought. That really doesnt look normal...... But then having a school on a mountain wouldnt be normal either right <.<

The disease is certainly something new which is needed but I agree with you man the glasses girl is stuck up so much but I have a feeling she'll fight our MC and lose then fall for him but that's my speculation
