a large pop is good BUT only if your country can provided enough jobs. A large number of young/restless/jobless men is nothing more then a time bomb waiting to explode.

Agree. Though the tribal nature of India makes it hard for investor to create jobs. CCP's cetralised governing policy may have some effect after all when it comes to economic development.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

You can tell its a slow news week when we can argue points of history for a few days without much in the way of actual news showing up.

I've suspected this for a couple of days now. I'm sure OpenSSL was examined more thoroughly by the NSA than even by its own developers. What really infuriates me is that the Agency thought Americans were better protected by the NSA's ability to read messages at GMail than by insuring the safety of online communications and the billions of dollars spent each year in online commerce.

OK, Senator Feinstein, when are you going to haul some NSA execs up in front of the Intelligence Committee and have them discuss Heartbleed under oath and in open session? Oh, right, we don't do that sort of thing because it might help the "terrorists."

Well some of us in California have been trying to vote her out of office for about two decades now. Hasn't worked yet.

She's 80 years old, by the way.

At this point in time I no longer believe that just by shuffling politicians will the status quo change, the NSA has been in existence for decades and not one politician has put on the breaks om them, if the Snowden revelations has not prompted capitol hill to stop such activities is because they think they are beneficial or do not care or do not even really understand the implications of said surveillance. So in the long (mid?) term you will see the return of concentration (re-education?) camps, but this time they will be full of enemy combatant (or whatever they call them this time around) which will be people the state fears (like the hippies in the '60s) because their values do not align with the federal government agenda. Yep, people like yourself and Seiji, I wonder if that is the reason I no longer see Vexx posting in the political threads.

Mysterious spate of apparent suicides by Chinese officials sparks debate,
censorship:

"Several apparent suicides by Chinese officials in the past three weeks, including
the deaths of two senior figures, have sparked public debate and questions, as well
as a fresh round of online censorship.

Was President Xi Jinping’s anti-corruption drive putting so much pressure on
members of the ruling Communist Party that some were driven to take their own
lives? Was it all just a coincidence? Or does a life of deceit and hypocrisy eventually
take its toll?"

^ In the 20th century it was a common "joke" to talk about said suicides by saying "Yeah, he committed suicide by doing twenty dagger thrust in his back"

Did Putin Blow Up the Whole Polish Government in 2010? A Second Look.:

"Four years ago this week, Polish President Lech Kaczynski was killed in a plane
crash near the Katyn Forest in Russia where he was flying to honor the 22,000
Polish officers, lawyers, priests and professors slaughtered there by the Soviets
70 years before. Ninety-five other military, political and public figures including his
wife died on that plane. One of the more heartbreaking details to emerge was
that First Lady Maria Kaczynska’s body could be identified only by her nail polish
and the inscription inside her wedding ring.

Less than two years before the crash the late president had given a speech
warning that if Russian aggression was not stopped in Georgia, which Russia had
invaded, it would extend to Ukraine, the Baltics, and possibly Poland as well. “We
are here to take up the fight,” he said. And many Poles still believe that their
president died in the cause of that effort. Physicist Kazimierz Nowaczyk is one of
them."

"The plane’s black boxes, laptops, sensitive documents, mobile phones, address
books, telephone numbers, correspondence, and the top-secret military, NATO
and diplomatic codes on board were salvaged from crash site immediately by the
Kremlin’s operatives in what was a “coup for Russia’s intelligence service”
according to retired CIA analyst Gene Poteat. What Nowaczyk calls “years worth
of work for security services” was completed in a single day by Russia’s OMON
Special Purpose Police, which were immediately deployed to the site."

Even up to this day, that horrible question still lingers in my mind.

It reminds us how no country, Russia or anyone else around, is safe as long as Putin still pulls the strings as he wishes. Him, Bush, the Kims and Milosevic are the world politicians I despise the most in my lifetime.

Logic of why 2 Russian planes can land without a problem while a Polish one can't.

What......

I know there's probably much more suspicious points but using something that's so devoid of any logical link for your article is rather.....

If a plane has a problem with the landing, it has a problem. Just because other planes can land doesn't mean it 100% should be able to.

This is pretty much just fear journalism at this point. They don't have a single shred of evidence proving that NSA knew about this exploit for 2 years, aside from the fact that NSA tries to find exploits in every security protocol. They're spinning speculation as fact to create headlines that sell papers.

Frankly, I'd actually be impressed if the NSA actually found it 2 years ahead of people at Google, as it means they might actually be good at net security. So far all the leaks that have come out have suggested they've pretty much muscled their way into companies and forced them to build backdoors, nothing has shown that they are actually capable of breaking any kind of security themselves.
