Himawari's eyecatch sure was underwhelming as it was all about boobs...and nothing else. Sakurako's at least showed her sisters as well. I also think Himawari and Hiro should get together and see a therapist to cure their "I-need-to-diet-although-I-look-perfectly-normal" issues...
Anyway, I'm really happy I got to see the Oomuro sisters "live in action" and I sure hope that Oomuro-ke will, some time in the future, be animated as well. My personal highlights were the scenes featuring the Furutani and Oomuro families and Mari-chan's poignant observations. And who would've thought that the Ikeda sisters' fantasies turned out to be actually funny this week? It made me wish maths could be as romantic as in Chitose's fantasy. I don't have much to say about the Gachi Yuri sisters other than I find Akane's "sisterly love" creepy to the point that it's difficult to watch her (and that says a lot considering the fact that I'm usually biased towards characters voiced by Hocchan)...

This episode highlights both my most and least favorite scenes in this series.
My most favorite part is of course Akane. Her segment is a surprisingly well done mishmash of both elegance and creepiness. Got to admit I've never seen anything like this before. My least favorite part is the diet. The concept of a girl trying too hard to lose weight is really nothing new, and even if she succeeds, it’s not all that exciting to watch. |

BREAKING NEWS: There is an unexpected rising in sales of Vivaldi CDs all over Japan. People began questioning what's the cause behind such a widespread phenomenon.

There's something really unnerving about the way this show handles its relationships, and I'm not just talking about Akane. There's just something about sniffing other people's belongings that just gets me. Admittedly, Akane's short scene at the end at made me cringe while still retaining its sweetness.
Oh, it was nice to finally see Chinatsu's sister, and it looks like they're surprisingly similar. Another thing I'm currently enjoying is the relationship dynamic between Sakurako and Himawari. Even before this, I kinda saw their relationship to be a lot more genuine than the rest. Now that their respective sisters have been introduced to the picture, this adds a good deal of detail into their current relationship. Exquisite stuff.

I found that whole Akane scene creepy and gross because it just reminds of those sick Otakus that actually do that stuff (not towards siblings) towards anime characters.
Overall, it was just a very weak episode for me. I just feel like this season is straying away from what originally made the series great in the first place. |

I think I'm liking the idea of Tomo x Akane. I'm now shipping them. But omg, Akane's appearance was worth the wait! And damn, Kaede was a boobcon! XDDD She's soooo cute!!! And Mari-chan was HHHNNNNNNNGGGGGH!!

Not exactly, I'd say it depends on where each person draws the line between "still funny" and "below the belt". While I know that this is all meant as a joke, I still can't bring myself to consider a young woman wearing the panties of her younger sister on the head as funny. I associate this -as a poster above me pointed out- with otakus and the fact that I would be even less amused about it if Akari had a brother (yes, that's the double standard I have as a yuri fan ). Others draw the line somewhere else: some people already feel uncomfortable when you tell a politically incorrect or dirty joke, some people laugh when they see someone's head getting blown off. And that's okay, really. It's just that comedy doesn't mean everyone has to laugh about the same jokes.

Akane is a HUGE siscon. We knew that since S1E1, so why are people acting so surprised, or even shocked that she behaves the way she does in this episode?
I loved this episode. Well, apart from the "I gained weight, so I must diet!" bit from Himawari. I knew right away that her boobs were the cause of her weight gain.
