No "hate" or "xyz must die" posts. Discuss why you do or don't like characters without whinging and whining or blatantly campaigning for your favourite.

  • Be polite to your fellow forum members.
Do not insult or harass other members for their likes and dislikes. • Adding a Spoiler tag:
Just highlight your spoiler and click the button found on the "Quick Reply" and "Reply to Thread" forms. Make sure that you include a title for the spoiler!

    • Please use the Report button if you see any spoilers:
Click the button found to the left of the post, just under the poster's avatar. Using the Report button is anonymous and helps the Moderators to locate and deal with problems quickly.

    • Posting prohibited spoilers may result in a ban.
Note: Reporting a post does not mean the poster will be banned instantly. The Moderators will use bans if warnings are repeatedly ignored.

So, has Milinda ever actually beaten another Object unassisted?

Ever since the Baby Magnum was wrecked and replaced after Alaska, we can assume it's general technology is up to date, so it's First-gen by Design rather than technical specs. Considering that, it is a much better design design than a good portion of the second generation, so why does Princess keep losing? If it's a question of enemies overly specialized for specific environments, it really shouldn't be hard to force terrain shifts: outmanuver the enemy and attack a strategic target by a different approach, bull rush through to better ground, or follow on a friendly Gen-2 linebreaker and rampage behind enemy lines.

In the anime, not so far, but in the novel, she does later, and provides cover fire for the duo and friendly troops. (i assume this doesn't really count as spoilers?) and we can assume that she has kept winning before the the events of the first arc.

Milinda was designed to be a first generation pilot, which means she can only use the Baby Magnum against other objects. The problem in that idea is how she's unable to stand against second generation objects most of the time, not because she's useless or because she lacks experience, is because the Baby Magum is what keeps her behind second generation Objects.

The idea of forcing 2nd gen objects to fight in another terrain is wrong, the baby magnum can fight everywhere but lacks the specialization of 2nd gen objects, that means Baby magnum has less than 30% chances to win. On the other hand you need to keep in mind 2nd gen objects are designed to fight in certain place because they need to protect that place and nothing else, that's where your theory fails. Baby magnum is nothing but a diversion so Quenser and Heivia can find the weak point on the enemy object, just then the Baby Magnum can increase the chances to win ofer 50% and sometimes in the LN almost 100%.

I was referring to duels with other objects, which seem to be the standard for conflict in this setting. The problem I would have with assuming she was winning prior to Alaska is that her record from that point on gives no reason to believe that was the case.

So, what exactly is the score between Princess & Qwenthur as of the latest volume?
