In DC, sure. In Marvel, not so much.

*shrugs* It's Batman, Marvel doesn't really need to figure into it.

That said, I generally avoid comics like the plague--too many writer changes causing way too much stupid decisions. I don't think I need to remind anyone of the Spider-Man retcon fiasco.

I'll stick to my movies and cartoons, thank you very much.

Not sure what you're talking about. They stopped writing Spider-Man years ago. >_>

In all seriousness, I stopped reading them when the price went up to $4.00.

Concerning Bruce's car in this film, there doesn't seem to be any pun involved, unlike in The Dark Knight.

^ Yeah, I found that interesting with the first movie (although I forget the name of the car).

Catwoman has cat ears... they're her goggles on top of her head I think. I still don't really know what to think about the costume so far.

Spoiler for +batman:

Was never a fan of Catwoman, not surprised
I don't like this.

Batman looks like he needs to take a dump though.

I don't recall there being a pun in the name of the car for the first movie--but the second movie's civilian car was amusing.

I'm still getting the Newmar vibe from Hathaway's costume, so it's not all bad.

I still hate her outfit..but at least she has a mask now, and some kinda cat ears/her fugly goggles, or whatever monstrosity that is.

Yes they're the goggles

Spoiler for confirmation image:

I didn't see anything of the costume yet but I don't really like it. Neither the long hair thing.

^ Lol yeah, it'll be like wearing 3D glasses over glasses...

I think I'm getting a little concerned about Catwoman because female characters have been Nolan's weak point for ages now, across so many movies, and so far the images have been a bit underwhelming (as was the general opinions of both fans and non-fans)... I hope he can pull this off, since messing up on Catwoman's probably going to mess up the entire movie very, very badly.

It's not that bad. This is hardly the first movie to make sure of the "goggles over something" idea. Makes sense for them to function like that; better than carrying it around on a belt or something.

Nolan is trying to hard, seriously..or he is an otaku and doesn't want to make her a catgirl. Normal cat ears would have been just fine, no need to go all "edgy".

A Newmar feel is fine too.

Actually that makes sense.

The mask is there to hide her identity. But she can't fix the goggles to it permanently because most likely the lenses restricts viewing angle and/or affect brightness. Goggles are not meant to be worn all the time.

I mean, sure, people play the Gotham Asylum game with the scanner goggles on permanently, but that's not how it works IRL.

She needs to be able to take the goggles off while keeping the mask on.

We have a better look at Bane and Batman with Empire's world's first TDKR covers. There're also quotes from Bale and Hardy regarding their characters:

He has to ask himself the question: how long do you allow pain to dominate your life?
Bale on Wayne

He's brutal. He's a terrorist. A really horrible piece of work.
Hardy on Bane

Getting a bit concerned about Catwoman though, there still hasn't been much promotion for her... why do I get the feeling she might be sidelined by Bane? Then it would've been better not to have her at all in the first place..
