Bardock winning against Gas was complete bullshit by the way. That was never how zenkai worked. One moment he's helpless against him in hi weakest, and the next he's stronger than him in his strongest form.

There's also the chance that Bardock's wish for his kids to thrive could be activating the moment Goku sees the recording and give Goku a powerup.

Or it could be a combination of the two and just gives Goku the inspiration he needs to use Ultra Instinct again properly this time.

What's funnier is that Goku also mentioned Raditz in the previous chapter, so it's not like they forgot about him either.

The spoilers said the wish was for his sons to "grow up well", and it fit the events of Dragon Ball amazingly well. Goku's plot armor, like when Taopaipai's Dodonpa hit the Dragon Ball instead of his heart, could have been explained by him having Toronbo's protection. And when he turned adult, the wish expired and both he and Raditz died at the same time.

It would at least make sense if this translation is more correct.

I haven't read the chapter yet so I don't know what the translation says, but it'd be great if the more correct translation is what you said here. It'd definitely make more sense, though whether it's good or not is another story entirely.

Lol, so we have the official explanation of why Goku gets the plot armor . I guess it makes sense, because goku was only killed by Raditz (I know technically it was by picoolo by still), and Goku basically committed suicide against Cell.

Next, Goku should officially learn the dragon fist technique. This time, however, the background dragon should by replaced by Toronbo (Plot armor dragon fist ! XD)

Seems many were in denial about Bardock's wish being granted (not here), and this chapter confirms it indeed was. Vegeta says he can't believe Goku and Raditz have been protected by the Dragon Balls their entire childhood, and calls them "spoiled Saiyan brats".

The thing both Goku and Vegeta learned from Bardock was... to cling to their Saiyan pride. Goku says he may have been lacking confidence in his power this entire time, and Vegeta that he shouldn't burden himself with the sins of the Saiyans. Yeah, okay.
