As for what the game is linked too... Xenoblade, Xenogears or Xenosaga... well, from this picture : That thing we see at 01:04 in the video looks an awful lot like a Gnosis from Xenosaga. |

AFAIK she has been a freelancer for a long time, but she is still married to Takahashi Tetsuya. So I'm guessing she is hired for specific projects, rather than being a full-time employee, meaning she can spend more time with the family/children.
Not 100% sure, but i think she has been a freelancer ever since she left square-soft in the mid-90s, so in that sense she probably was never employed at monolithsoft at all, but worked as a contractor, if that makes sense. |

The Wii U is very comparable to a slightly beefed up XBox 360 and you can already see some of the shortcuts taken to get it to render on that level (the hard edges on the water hitting the shore, the way the wheels are touching the ground slightly awkwardly, etc). It's still pretty impressive, though, how far people have taken this generation of consoles. I don't think I've seen this level of pushing to the limit since the Genesis/SNES days.

Oh yep, there's no mistaking that Sawano.
I'll say it again though; the overworld and the mechs looks really neat, but I really, really hope that this game steps up in the side quest and content department, because Xenoblade dropped the ball hard on that front. |
