Set in Universal Century 0085, Asuna Elmarit is a student from École du Ciel, a military school for training future MS pilots in Montréal, Canada. Unexpected events occur, exposing Asuna and her classmates to the reality that is war. Along the way, the school council's real intentions are revealed in the lead up to the Gryps Conflict.

At first this made me excited cause I thought they already announced a new TV series, but oh well. xD

This is an old manga that was never completed by tokyopop in English, it only went to volume 9.

Will they finaly publish number 10???

Tokyopop went out of business then I think came back....or something I can't remember. xP

Don't count on them to complete this or any of the other titles they once had.

Its currently up to volume 11 so far. I am reading it mainly as a UC fanboy, and Mikimoto's artwork easily pumps up the nostalgic values.

Since there had not been a thread about it, I don't think one is inappropriate.

Right, more stuff I need to get for reals. RAM, hard drive, gunpla, gunpla markers, internet bills, electricity bills, rent, car repairs... ARGH MY BONUS IS ALL GONE IN TWO DAYS. T__T

But the art is worth it. I read a little of this series and liked it.

I found out it was them releasing Gundam stuff shortly after they went out of business.
It's a shame they were pumping out dozens of crappy titles all over the place but not really calling attention to their Gundam releases.

UC-twist of Gunbuster indeed. Of note, I really like Le Cygne's design. If anything, it looks like the new title mech of G-Reco.

Tokyopop is basically sill clenching the licence despite being dead in America

On August 31, 2009, Tokyopop announced that Japanese manga publisher Kodansha was allowing all of its licensing agreements with both the North American and German divisions of Tokyopop to expire for reasons unknown. Due to this loss in licensing, Tokyopop was forced to leave several Kodansha series unfinished, including popular series Rave Master, Initial D, GetBackers, and Life. It also would be unable to reprint any previously published volumes, rendering all Kodansha-owned Tokyopop releases out-of-print.

On May 24, Tokyopop stated that the manga they licensed would revert to their original respective owners, who may license the titles to other companies.

They don't hold the license for anything.
