^ Well basically Sakaino is one of the best things Gonzo ever animated (at the time they were still kicking ass >.>) and Guilty Crown one of the worst IG ever produced ... you just made the wrong guess possible ... probably

Saikano is just about one of the saddest series I've ever watched. I cannot bring myself to watch it again, since I know I will just be reduced to a poodle of tears. However, if you have the time I'd really suggest you watch it. It's really worth your time.

Yeah I know the feeling, hell actually the fansub I was following put "Remain here is you want the happy ending" at the end of chapter 10... I was like "Come on how can they make it even more sad" 3 episodes later... "Ok THAT'S sad".
