With this kind of pacing, it made me wonder whether Black Clover is on the verge to get axed or the writer just like to have enough content in every chapter?

I heard that he would like to have Black Clover chapters as much as One Piece chapters but does he even have enough materials to do that if he keeps speed-drawing like this?

What? He wants to have as many chapters as One Piece? Bruh. Yeah, right now I can't see that with this pacing. But maybe he has enough planned in the story itself to allow that many chapters? Oda must have a really long story planned as well which should be why it's getting to be so long.

@Wandering Soul: Most series do a time skip when characters have a lot of training to do, no? It's just that this one was abrupt and seems kind of short compared to what other Shounen demographic series have done. It's not necessarily the time skip itself that's surprising.

Discrimination against peasants is pretty bad in clover, but spade takes it to another level

I wonder if he's on par with zero tier characters now in combat.

Also, Asta knew the best that becoming Yami is the only way to stand atop of the world.

Asta got ridiculous power-up within 6 months. That is insane.

At least now he actually learned to spam the OP sword, Demon Dweller now.

That is a great intro after a timeskip, seems like he mastered all the skills he showed pre-timeskip to a great extend.

@LevelSeven: Agreed. I love how he seems to have mastered all of his abilities from before the time skip and even got a new one.

And speaking of the new ability--man, I love that giant sword and what its powers seem to be. And I like the last panel too.

By the way, do you guys think Asta could cancel out the Magic Power Belt by cutting through it with the Anti-Magic Sword? If he can do that, all of the people with low mana who are being used there should be able to leave.

Oda just has this long of a story because his editors decided to let him write whatever he wanted.

The original plan of One Piece was just a 5 year run, remember?
