Synopsis

This reeks of Gary Stu and I'm kinda disappointed he lost to the girl. So much for martial arts prodigy. Hammer's a nice change for a weapon.

I looked through the raws, and I have to say this series definitely deserves more hype. The art is very good, and the characters are well developed. A standout aspect of it is the romance, which is surprisingly very well executed.

does that mean that 10 chapter of the novel is only 6 chapters of the manhua ? And if so, for someone who already read the manhua chapters is it still worth reading up to chap 10 of the novel or start from 11 onward.

I skimmed through manhua so I can't guarantee 100% certainty, but 1. Manhua compress things a bit (so yes, 10->6, maybe 7) 2. Manhua is a bit more "childish" 3. some things are different - so I can recommend to read novel too even if it some things flow worse because of novice translator.

Well, I took a look at the novel some time ago, thanks to this thread. Good thing too, as Wu Xia is one of my favorite genre, and this wasn't a bad find at all...

So anyways, the manhua does have a few differences (Tang San's dad just showed him the hammer technique but didn't tell him the name, the snake was an unlucky encounter, not disguised as a lesser creature, the exact sequence of events that lead Xiao Wu to become the boss of the dorm, etc...). Still, major plot line does follow the novel...

It took me weeks to finish burning through the novel too... Oww... I haven't even started the sequel yet, and it looks like a dozy too... Still, just from a glance, the sequel doesn't look like it's complete yet, so I might wait until it is before I sit down for that...

Yes, 6 chapters of manhua (+ first chapter of Part 2) and 10 chapters of novel (well, and 2/5 of ch11).

That said if I'm not mistaken novel is currently translated quite fast...

The Light novel translation pace is pretty fast. From what i have seen until Chapter 12 part 3 he will definitely be one of the strongest people in the world. He is only 6 years old and hes already extremely strong. And it seems the main female lead is very strong also.

The pace of the manhua is so slow. Fairly certain most of the pages can be condensed into one panel. Also reading the novel, I think it handles all the situations better than the manhua.

Breaker: New Waves, Noblesse, Duolou Dolu, Darwin's Game, The Gamer, Tate Yuusha No Nariagiri, Kingdom , Feng Shen Ji, Mahouka Koukou No Rettousei (All of these i read in Manga/webnovel/Lightnovel) Not a fan of Anime Tbh. I Prefer details.
