Regarding the Judgment Trial scene, was there supposed to be music playing in the background? There has been nothing but silence, and since I had a bit of problem with the music files, I better check just in case...

It depends what part of the trial. Sometimes there's no music but sometimes there is.

In my opinion, isn't that a really easy riddle for Ryukishi to give to us? I mean, is it supposed to be obvious that the 'culprit' hid four cards under four objects in that room and merely told Natsuhi to go to whichever season she selected? Battler had better break through that one with ease later in the novel or I'm going to doubt his ability as the mystery solver

I think that one's pretty much a freebie to the audience, but it makes you feel bad for Natsuhi because she's clearly not too bright (and consequently being jerked around easily).

Incidentally, who thinks the child from 19 years ago is likely to actually be female, considering Kinzo's reaction after its death? There's definitely someone here who's got it in for Natsuhi, and all it takes is for her to be rather underdeveloped...

I believe that since Lambdadelta is 'voicing' the young man and thus acting upon the human world from the metaworld, the young man does not exist. Every scene involving Natushi speaking with the young man is a complete lie. It is doubtful if even Natushi herself thinks she has been speaking with the young man. Her strange behavior, as in following his 'demands', can be attributed to the extreme stress she is under to prevent Kinzo's secret from being revealed. The child from 19 years ago may or may not have existed, but this point is irrelevant as s/he does not exist in the world of 1986.

I doubt that 34 is directly posing as this man of 19 years ago. At most even Bern's influence on the gameboard is limited to her having her own piece in the form of Erika, and even then we can't directly say that there's a conscious link between piece Erika and the metaworld. By extension, if anything, we CAN consider this man of 19 years ago, if he exists, as Lambda's piece but not Lambda herself.

I'm one of the editors for WH, I've gotten to every point

I think the telephone scenes are likely to be real, but it's almost impossible that the person on the other side is exactly who they claim to be.

Whether this bends the Decalogue is up in the air, but one thought is that Erika was the dropped child and is attempting to take revenge on Natsuhi (with the cooperation of some male accomplice) by framing her for the crime, hence her ridiculous dedication to her cause.

The meta-world / magic world explanation for her behavior doesn't make sense if you don't consider magic to be "real", so there's got to be something else... if she's there at all, anyway.

This means that the existence of [no more than 17 people]+1 has already been confirmed. Lambda-Battler observed 17 people in the parlor prior to the First Twilight. It is unknown if we can trust Lambda-Battler as he is not the detective, because Erika is. If we assume that there are only 18 people on the island, then the young man cannot exist on the island. Even if he only speaks through the telephones the external line is dead. For the record, I have just finished the torture of Cornelia by Erika, and so if any hints or clues pertain to this beyond this point, simply tell me "go finish the game, moron" and I will

I do feel sorry for Erika, since Bern's a betch and has pretty much said she'll kill her if she bores her. I wonder if she was really a brat before she met Bern too, or if she's purely acting that way for Bern. I think it's the second one, personally. Bern wasn't in my good books after EP4 and I don't think she will be for a while. XD

This moment especially is noteworthy.

In that point in the game Erika was deciphering Natsuhi's 'motive'. But she seemed to hesitate before trolling her and saying that her love with Krauss was a sham. I don't know why but it reminded me a lot of EP 3 when Beato had hesitated to troll Battler.

Do we even NEED to solve all the mysteries in this? It's pretty clear that Lambdadelta did things very differently from Beatrice. Where Beatrice make moves for no reason, as it was said by 34, 34 does not do things for nothing. All moves have a purpose with her and she won't give any free hint with them.

So is there just lots of misdirection, to distract from the real goal, or is there something that is supposed to help us find the truth in there by solving the mysteries?

The only thing I see gained at the end is the definitive removal of someone from the suspect's list.

I was wondering what that was about when I saw it. Kinda waiting for some stake to be hanging out of her when she pulled that face. XD But yes, that scene made me think that she was doing it for Bern, too.

Wait until you read the reasonings and "files" after that. It was just so sickening that when I first ran through it back in August I stopped playing for a day.
