We don't know about that, though. If Kira had met Lacus first, it would have been a slightly different story, albeit a story that will eventually achieve a similar end.

Maybe the marriage would have progressed much quicker.

I guess it would have been the same as well if Lacus met Kira first. (If Kira's parents didn't get killed and he was enrolled in the ZAFT military)

Well not really, I'd say Kira'd end up like Saji from 00. A full-time Mechanical Engineer, who will:
a.) acquire a mobile suit in a crossfire
b.) not be a pilot, but more of a designer of Mobile Suits for Athrun (getting Graham/Billy Vibes here)
c.) killed in crossfire.

SEED to re-air in HD starting 2012. It will be interesting to see it's rating against AGE.

With BS11 airing SEED on the same date as AGE, comparisons of ratings would be really exciting. Will the new fans (i.e. kids) love Kira more or idolize Asem instead?

looking at the heroic Kira poster at gundam-seed.net...then take a second look on the space suit that Flit is wearing...all of a sudden, I realize how fortunate I was back in the time when seed aired and how I enjoyed every second in the gundam seed series XD

SEED on BS11 would lose just by simple fact that it's a satellite channel that requires a BS antenna and a specialised decoder while AGE is on free terrestrial digital broadcast, so the comparison is completely meaningless.

I see. We can still compare with Tokyo MX, even with the late timeslot. So Asem is still safe.

Since BS11 won't be any good for comparison as a satellite channel (as houkoholic had said), maybe Tokyo MX's maybe viable comparison. Not for kids ofcourse and they are not the only ones watching it.

As an overall ratings comparison, I suppose that's fine (although the different days and times may still have an affect). I thought you were focusing on the kids demographic.

hurray indeed save_us_GS_era yes the true heir of gundam series of 2000s generation era & truly the main of this generation the GS series is back.

indeed 10th year special next year what kick-off with going HD indeed this will show the younger newer generation anime fans to see era of GS to that it was one of best of our era.

yet with this maybe more to come from era of GS include the movie of GS still owe us til now.

overall indeed GS era is back.
