Why not, the more the merrier.

In fact You should add Horo's tail as a seperate character as it seems to have it's own personality or a life of its own so to say.

Neither is declared to be Anime 2nd season.
"Since there is new development, wait for a follow-up" is only written to the advertisement of a book jacket of Vol.9.
I expect that a follow-up is announced by the Dengekibunko 15th Anniversary festival on October 5.
But, I do not know what a follow-up is.

Requesting two new threads.

1) A comparison thread between the anime and novels / manga. I envision this as thread where the anime's depiction of a scene or character protrayal can be compared & contrasted with the novel's version. By necessity, spoilers would be allowed.

2) Since the English dub cast has just been announced, a thread for discussing the English dub would be nice. Expectations, worries (hopefully valid worries as opposed to basic anti-dub rants), and later comments when the English dub is actually released would be the discussions here, I expect.
