Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen announced. Sources famitsu.com, siliconera
I am bit confused, but I think it is an expansion. Other DLCs are coming this year, hard mode and so on, but Dark Arisen brings new content, if I understand correctly. Although I don't like to port beg or like port beggars in general, why is this game still not available on the PC? |

Well he's based off of that pre-designed generic barbarian guy build and he sounds exactly like Andre the Giant from The Princess Bride when he talks, so there's that.
He's a medic, and he seems to get hired a lot. I guess people really like having a 7-foot Ben Kingsley follow them around healing them. |

archer loli has now become petrified archer loli.
Oh and I just finished that sidequest where you rescue Princess Whatsherface from the dungeon http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...80963846_o.jpg Am I to assume archer loli took part in an unprovoked lesbian encounter in that one cutscene? Last edited by Hagoshod; 2012-10-02 at 10:06. |

Don't be fooled by the prologue, the startIng area of the game can quickly become brutal- almost Dark Soul level, but more action pack. (Hint: bandits) Combat skills are fun, don't be afraid to experiment with the different classes, once unlocked you can freely switch between them at the major city inn.

Picked this game up over christmas. I am really hooked into it. Its nicely done, but it does lack in a few areas. only 2 towns, some of the fortresses could of been done better. pawns system needs more development/lore to make the Arisens importance stand out more? (as well as a better looking guild?). Goren Sen doesnt seem fully complete either. Craftman section is ..... looking pretty poor. I dont understand what affinity dones or benifits of it?
Other than that, its been fun. But the best thing of this game is that I can create a character with two different coloured eyes! yay. Always wanted to do that <.< I really like how they made wolves in this game too, a nice touch and feel to them. I started as a Fighter, got to level 9 rank, changed to Warrior especially noticing some awesome two-handed sword being a mystery where I got it from. Seriously it just appeared. Once that was level 9 rank I've changed back to Fighter but with a mix of fighter/warrior auguments. I like fighting without the shield, So I use Burst Thurst, Hindmish Strike (mostly use it as a dodge ability since I am using no shield yet) and my 3rd, Dragon Maw is just awesome. I have to say this setup is working for me. I am level 40, my main pawn is an Ice mage with healing abilities to support (aso got her level 9 Sorcerer but switched back to mage now). Then I deploy 2 Rangers/Striders and that seems to be going ok for me so far. I dont know if its becuase I am more leveled now, but I seem to be pretty good in taking down Cyclops/Orges now rather than the first time I ran into them. First time I fought a Griffin, it picked me up and dropped me to my death (retry), 2nd time fighting one it escaped. Then just moments ago during an escort mission with Madeline, I was ambushed during the night by a Chimera. I thought Madeline was going to die, but she suprisingly stayed alive. So my first Chimera (apart from the one you fight at the begining of the game). So I guess thats why I am thinking my party is working so far. Does take a little bit more time in killing phantoms/ghosts. Just met the Duke wearing a silly jester crown O_o. So I dont really know how far I am into the story yet. I have to admit the Duke was pretty funny cracking that joke on me. If only they could combine the good elements from Dragon dogma, Dragon age and Obilivion, then we'd have one awesome game :/ Any real tips/stratergies I should know about as I continue ? Or am I doing pretty well so far. Been a few side quests I did look up (trying to not see big spoilers) say like looking for the snake skin purse. I scoured the river and found nothing, and I was sure it was suppose to be the river, so after looking it up I found out that I was suppose to gather the fishies to find it. Easy thing to miss I guess. Question on the side... Should I be using Fitness or the surge in strength augument when in critical state (I hardly ever seem to into critical anymore, but it feels one of those you dont need, until you find your in a situation when you need it :s). Thats providing Fitness works when climbing monsters ? Last edited by Velsy; 2013-01-01 at 11:06. |
