I guess we can safely bet that we can see a struggle between Allen and the 14th for use of the body. I maintain that in the end, it'll be a power-up for Allen, and it'll be somewhat akin to the Kyubi inside Naruto.

I don't think so. I speculate that the 14th wants to become a third side to the conflict. He doesn't seem all that harmless to me. Road was upset that he tried to kill the Earl, so in the eyes of the Noah, he's probably the ungrateful, spoilt (He was the only other Noah to be able to control the Ark.) member of the family.

At the moment, Mana seems like the most likely reason for his betrayal. After all, the Earl and the other members of the Noah family are out to destroy the humans, so to protect Mana, hetries to kill the Earl...

Assuming this to be true, I believe it might not have been an easy decision to make for the 14th. Because I have no doubt that he would have at least bonded with a few of his fellow Noahs like Road and... Well, that's all we know, the other Noahs were born after this incident.

Regardless, I think I figured out why the Earl didn't kill Allen that night. That probably means that the Earl doesn't know that the 14th is getting revived in Allen.

To be exact, Mana implanted the memories of the 14th into Allen. Back when the Earl played the music to control the new Ark, it was strongly suggested that he still has some attachment to theold ark, and possibly the 14th.

It could very simply be the case that he 'felt' (for a lack of a better term) the 14th in Allen, but didn't know what it was, hence he soften.

So, maybe the 14th was the same as Tikky... with a human and a Noah live... by the way, if i remembered correctly, Earl said the the pleasure Noah always have the biggest expectations. Maybe the 14th was the pleasure Noah too? There has been any sign about Tikky knowing the Noah? i think that Road its the only one who actually know him? (or Am i wrong...?)

Being given the title '14th', whilethere is now only 13 Noah suggest that his memory is something different than the no current 13(s), 12 if you count Skin's death.

As far as we know, Road seems to be the only Noah that knows him. Back in Edo, the Earl stated that the others were born after that time. Tykki in particular didn't even know that the 14th tried to kill the Earl.

Here's a thought; I'm sure everyone has seen the recent episode of the anime already. In the original manga scene, I'm sure almost all of us thought that the voice in Allen's head was either Mana or the 14th.

Apparently we were wrong.

So my question is, who is this unknown female voice?

Personally, my money is on Road. She's the only other Noah we know that is around during the same time as the 14th. But what I can't explain is how it got into Allen's head... Unless the song was weaved into the memories of the14th as well.

That's an interesting thought you got but we don't have enough information to make a conclusion. I have many thoughts about this but it can be so many things this voice could mean it might be something that all Noah's has in common but who knows.

Hmmm.... If there was no mention of "No D.Grayman next week" inside last week's WSJ, that must mean that the break was not anticipated, which can mean that Hoshino-sensei has suddenly fallen ill.... again.

Last Friday, I got the chance to read the current manga chapter. Spoiler: The 14th Noah implanted his memories into Allen so that part of himself could get to revive in a new vessel. I theorize that the 14th knew what he did beforehand. He planned all along to betray the Earl and the Noah, realizing full well that what awaited both him and Mana was a life of chase and hide to the end of their days. The 14th might have betrayed the Earl for Mana's sake. Between his Noah family and Mana the '14th' chose Mana to live the life of a clown along with his older brother.
