Hmm...good episode? Just saw episode 3. The comedic delivery was really weak this time around (seriously, could Tadatsugu's butt grab scene have been more flat) but the plot/character buildup was fairly well done. The atmosphere/dialogue is kinda surreal in how everything feels completely centered around Aoi Toori, and everybody seems to know all about him and his emotional past. After this episode, what with people mentioning that "the real story starts after episode 4", it's even become obvious that Toori's confession (which I expect to happen next episode) is actually plot important and will be part of the event that kickstarts the story. With the entire narrative seemingly circling around one character's "remorse" and emotions, it does heighten one's curiousity.

Nothing of note to say about the rest. I'm waiting for some of the girls to get enough screentime/development that I can like them and start enjoying the fanservice. For the moment, I find the manner in which Kimi says "Gutei" moderately attractive.

I heard that Shintani Ryouko voices one of these characters? Not particularly a fan of her, she's simply one of the few seiyuu a recognize from listening to Sayanara Zetsubou Sensei web radio. Which character would that be?

Are you confusing her with Ryoko Shiraishi? Ryoko Shiraishi voices the sensei.

Azuma is just a girly looking boy. Which is pretty evident by his reactions to rooming with a girl.

He was referring to Tori, and how anytime he goes down that path, his memory of Horizon's death would be highly pervasive. Horizon died and he blames himself, hence walking the path of her death would mean it was "replaying in real time" for him.

I do say that, unlike Penguindrum, I don't have to guess what the hell is going on, I can piece it together. Granted, it's a flaw of the narrative and very annoying, but it brings its fun in its own way.

So far the side stories have been ok, but not much than that.
Episode 1 was the best so far.

Ouch...poor Toori - I just hope they don't 're-enact history' and have him 'kill' P-01s. Being the cause of your loved ones death is bad enough...but twice?

It's strange...of all the people I expected to have that kind of past, Aoi Toori was the last - he seems way too cheerful to indicate something so harrowing had happened (then again, he's either in denial that it ever happened (his confession to 'Horizon', not P-01s) or has moved on...yeah, the second one is doubtful).

Despite that, loved the episode
