I'm tagging Jekyll-and-Hyde's new image, as Ayaka's new costume is not safe for work (unless you work in a Las Vegas casino). It directly references manga Volume 16's cover. Spoiler for service! Ayaka's revealing outfit:

Looks like someone (a.k.a. Ken) forgot the realities of tailoring again.... shocked.. yes, shocked I am
On another note, Asuna looks like some Scotswoman gone powersuit o.O third note: um whoa, is that Nodoka on the back with the witch outfit and firearms?

I saw a cover of a magazine (I forgot to save it) with the same Asuna, Negi and Ayaka image and the area around her chest is actually white, implying that she is wearing something.
Maybe there's some lighting or colouring issues with that manga cover or Ken just wanted to give more fanservice. Who knows? :x |

Interesting.... that would actually make a hell of a lot more sense than the "showgirl" version --- which is completely out there compared with every other cover.
Hmm, there's almost zero difference between the pink of the outfit and her skin.... (flips a coin to determine if someone is just messing with the fans or if there was some confusion in the color department) If that *is* correct.... then I suspect Del Rey may be adding a "colorful hardstock cover" on top of the book inside its shrinkwrap (ala those little ad things I'm always losing off of the japan edition manga).

As for Del Rey, I assume this will be fine considering how you can still see Kazumi's panties in the volume 12 cover. |

In good old Prude-Land... there's a massive difference between a minor lingerie pic and 99% boobage revelation .... "think of the children!"
((of course, I'd rather the children be seeing boobage than gore here in Opposite-land)) Out of curiousity... where does your information that it was intended to be skin come from?

I came across an artist's site, and he appears to be addressing the Showgirl Warrior Ayaka breastplate issue. I can't read it, but maybe some kind, Japanese literate person could help out.
http://www.urban.ne.jp/home/nbg777/ Scroll down to his 10-6-06 entry. Spoiler:
Possibly, he's knows something. The third image he posted (above) seems to address the issue directly. I can't tell if we're seeing coloring instructions, or someone is simply making a comparison. Maybe he knows something. Again, I can't read it, so I can't really offer an opinion. |
