To be honest, I don't put much blame Hestia for being childish when Bell is interested in other girls. Seriously, I think Bell is quite dense not to have Hestia as #1 in his heart. Yes, I know there is the "She is to be treated as a goddess at all times! Also, she is immortal and I am mortal!"-type mentality, but still. As childish as Hestia can be, something is to be said about that much devotion to Bell! Also, this is just me, but I think when lead boy and girl have spent that much time together and have that much history, they should get married in the end. Sometimes I apply that to the secondary lead girl.

Always seemed to me that the first season of Danmachi was defined by three great fights. The one with the gorilla, the one with the minotaur, and the one with the boss at the end. So I'll be curious if they have episodes that can match the fights of Season 1.

So far so good. Doesn't feel "off" like the Orario adaptation did.

In a way, it's too bad that I know exactly what's coming next - for the original season, I had no idea so everything was nice and fresh. Plenty to look forwards to though.

It's really nice to have the show back, with the visuals, tone, and characters all feeling the exact same from where we left off. It's still a very fun and good show to just check back in with .

Mikoto's joined the team? Neat. She was the most prominent of Takemikazuchi's Familia last season, and the most upset when they left Bell's party to die, so I guess this is her way of making up for it. I certainly wouldn't say no to a hot samurai lady joining the main cast .

Ah, look at our Bell! He got in his first bar fight .

I love how we're first re-introduced to Hestia breast and string first .

Party settings are always fun to see for getting the cast dressed up, and that was equally true here, especially with the lovely ladies of DanMachi in those dresses .

Freya is still as intimidating as ever, making the women self-conscious and even getting their male dates flustered. She's still got her eyes on Bell, and was irritated enough at his dancing with Ais to want to thrash the place with an army of Minotaurs. Never underestimate the jealousy of a goddess .

Look at Hermes being such a bro to Bell with Ais. Heck, even the other Gods helped give Bell some backup. All around that dance scene with Bell and Ais was pretty darn adorable (sorry Hestia and Loki) .

I thought Apollo wasn't on the up and up and then he turns the creep factor up to 11 at the end, and I guess I should've figured the fight was staged to set off this War Game scenario and get Bell under Apollo's finger. Not that I expect Hestia to give him up without a fight .

The new Opening feels pretty in-line with the old one, featuring all the major characters again, adventuring, having fun, along with the new characters we'll be seeing this season. My main takeaway is it looks like our heroes will be bumping up to a mansion .

Goddamn, that slurp and that rape face, Apollo is a creep.

The animation during the first fight scenes was pretty good.

Yeah, that Apollo face at the end was a tad over the top. Otherwise, a great first episode. I've missed this show a lot.

I'd say the face was fairly fitting. We've already seen that the gods have pretty much no self-control, especially where sex is concerned. Apollon's not the first god to show such fierce and obvious lust toward him. And considering that Apollo was kind of known for having lots of lovers (who I hear always died quick, tragic deaths), having him look like he's trying to entrap a tasty-looking little rabbit seems fairly fitting.

With all those immortals lusting for him, I'd say that's a given.

There isn't!

Nice too see the show in good form, through I'm still waiting for the first proper "Bell vs monster" fight, as those fights in S1 were the shows most stand out feature. Through from the set up, I get the feeling it be 'Bell vs humanoid' fights that have to capture the quality set prevously.

I think that's "get taken into a God's Familia" in this setting .
