World Trigger [Anticipation]

Announced by Shonen Jump and Viz: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...v-anime/.74904

Kinda worried about it getting one so early since there's not that much material to adapt but hopefully the actual airing will be a long ways off. I'm hoping Sunrise or Production I.G. is doing this. Should be interesting to see how this fares since this is really the first JUMP action series since Toriko (well depending on how you place Medaka Box)

Wow. What an early adaption. I'm looking forward to this. A decent jump manga despite its low rankings on the magazine. I'll be expecting an awesome adaption to boost manga sales.

Surprisingly early adaptation, like the manga so I'm looking forward to it.

My guess is that Jump wanted to get an adaptation out of one of their "next gen" properties this year. And they figure AssClass and Souma are too valuable long-term to risk screwing the pooch with an anime too early, so they chose World Trigger precisely because it's a second-tier series for them in terms of popularity and financial potential.

I would've preferred they hold off on turning the series into an anime so soon and waited when there was more available for a full year of TV episodes, but this isn't really a bad time to announce it either given that as of chapter 61, there is nearly enough material for a decent 2 cour series.
Spoiler for That and ...:

Still happy it's getting one and hopefully whoever does the adaptation knows what they are doing. The series starts off rough early on with the high school bits but manages to find its footing once it moves away from that eventually and ends up being really fun and thought-out, so I hope the future staff focus more on the team dynamics and sci-fi elements and less on the school segments.

In any case, looking forward to hearing more news.

Confirmed to air in the Fall.

Its airing sooner than I initially expected. I'm still cautiously optimistic that it the studio and more importantly the staff will be decent, since I would hate it if they screw this up.

Please be good.

Wow, an anime already? I hope they keep the unusual coloring technique in the anime.

Toei? Have to say I sure wasn't expecting that one (and slightly disappointed given their current track record with animation budgets). I wonder what timeslot it'll end up taking though. None of Toei's current shows are scheduled to end around the fall are they?

Toei have made a few late-night anime (last time they did, it was Kyouso Giga) in the past so I wouldn't be surprised if it is one of them.

There's a long list of much worse studios that could've picked this up, so I have no issue, personally.

I like the manga and I'm looking forward to the anime but really every time I read the manga all I can think is about how not much has happened and I can't even think of what a good cut off point for the end of the anime would be.
