Kemono Friends (Season 2)

A 2nd season of Kemono Friends is confirmed.
Quote:
Japanese online bookstore Honya Club is listing the fifth official guidebook for the Kemono Friends anime with a thumbnail picture that shows the book's wraparound jacket band. The words on the wraparound band suggest that a second season is in the works for the anime, although the words could also mean that a second installment in another part of the franchise (such as a game or stage play) is also in the works.

The Hōrindō Comic Plaza bookstore posted a photo of the fifth official guidebook for the Kemono Friends anime on Twitter on Monday. The photo confirms that the book's wraparound jacket band is announcing a "second season," but with text that reads, "It will take some time, so please wait!"

hmmm

finished the 1st episode, and didn't have the same feel as the 1st season, but then again it's still only 1 episode

I was shocked that right at first the animation looked like it might be a bit better and more surprised that this felt like a bad thing.

The first season's visuals were kind of "so bad it actually works" and this is more "better, but mediocre." Probably doesn't help either that the first episode wasn't anything special. In some ways the story felt repetitive. We went on this journey once already. Can't we change it up more for a second season than telling a story that is a bit too similar the last one?

Why a reboot instead of a sequel?

I was expecting to see Serval and Kaban in the ocean together with other friends on their happy bus.

It's a remake that poses itself as a sequel. Think about it as "Kemono Firends: The Force Awakens".

They met a web browser, too bad she is not good at searching. xD

Giant panda character design looks like she's wearing seifuku and gloves like a ship girl from Kancolle.

Dolphin and Sea Lion are obviously performers in a marine park before they became Kemono Friends.. asking for reward each time they do something. xD

Nice episode, I'm enjoying this now.

Why are so many Narou crap bad? Because the person making it only copied the outer shell of a story. It doesn't take a genius, heck, it hardly takes that much thought to just copy the outer summary of a good story, after all. But as a result, you got nothing. A hollow shell of a story with no soul. You miss small details because you don't know enough about storytelling to realize the value of those small details.
And that is the exact case of this anime.

A hollow, shallow copy of Tatsuki's work.

Oh, and unlike novels, you also have to be able to know how to make good CG characters, which makes braindead copying just that much worse.

I'm liking it so far. Surprised they had to get off the car on episode 4.

And there's more lucky beast, the one who looks like a mexican and then there's one coming with them for the jungle exploration. xD

Vampire bat is cute, sadly she has little screentime. ><

Another nice episode.

Good thing the owls noticed the large thing swimming in the water. Honestly, large sea monsters have always terrified me. Glad they were not attacked there. Is it possible that it's one of these large sea ceruleans that caused Serval memory loss? Serval was at sea the last time we saw her season 1.
