Quick question about the Akatsuki:

In Naruto Shippuuden episode 9, Sasori and Deidara were discussing their quota a little, and Deidara said his had been filled by capturing his target, the Ichibi Jinchuuriki (Gaara). Sasori didn't know where his target was, but he said it didn't really matter as long as he got one. That infers that each Akatsuki member was assigned a specific bijuu to capture.

The ones I know of are thus:
Uchiha Itachi - Kyuubi (Naruto) [I kind of guessed this, based on earlier]
Deidara - Ichibi (Gaara)

What are/were the other pairings?

tHEY ARE ALL IN THE MANGA IF YOU ARE TRUELY INTERESTING IN FINDING OUT BUT IF NOT YOU MIGHT AS WELL WAIT TILL IT APPEARS IN THE ANIME OR IT MIGHT RUIN SOME OF THE STORY LINE FOR YOU.

A general question about Shippuuden:
how's the show going? I heard that at first people were compaining about it being dragged out and fillered up. Me for one, haven't seen or read anything off Shippuuden yet. I've only seen "Part I" three times. So I was wondering, has the show progressed a lot yet? Did it get better then the first couple of episodes?

While for example episode 26 is among the top 3 episodes ever, we have episode 28 which is worse than most of the episodes (including all the fillers). So it's sometimes damn good and sometimes total crap. But on average it's still good, not slower than part1, just the usual filler stuff that was already present in part1.

Well, the ratio for Pt1 was 1.77:1 (239 chapters in 135 episodes; including the Tea country filler but not the fillers past the Valley of the End) while Shippuuden ratio is barely 1:1 (and it's not going up. Everytime an episode contains a little more material, the ones after are desperately slow, it's a huge difference in pace.

As of episode 38 the ratio is 1.17:1.

Episode 38 covers 1.5 chapters, and so far the current arc averages at 1.25:1.

I think it's not so bad at the current pace, but hopefully it won't go down.

Viz's Naruto vol 26 censored???

Since this is Q&A and I can't make a new thread I figured to post this here. I was at the bookstore yesterday and saw a copy of the licenced Naruto manga (volume 26.) Getting curious I flipped through it and saw it was the Naruto vs. Sasuke fight. But then, towards the end of the book I realized that there were parts missing. Specifically the part with Sasuke turning CS2 and him and Naruto having their midair showdown. It kind of cut from where Sasuke was fighting Kyuubi Naruto to Kakashi finding an unconscious Naruto on the ground. WTF?

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. I thought it might have been that particular book I was holding. If it's true then this would be the biggest insult Viz has committed in publishing the manga (worse than false translation and taking liberties with meanings.) I just hope I am wrong.

If you´re asking about whether this theory sounds plausible or not, this certainly is the wrong topic. There are several other threads in which this post fits.

However, i´m no moderator

I too want to see yondaime "back in live", but his theory doesn´t sound very plausible to mee.
BTW: Was it ever mentioned that yondaime invented the "death god jutsu"?

^ i dont know whether it said he made it
i thought it said he did
but i also was reading somewhere yesterday that... that wasnt the only jutsu used in sealing the kyuubi he also used ....

Shiki Fujin (Dead Demon Consuming Seal)
Name: Shiki Fūjin, 屍鬼封尽, literally "Dead Demon Consuming Seal," "Corpse Demon Consuming Seal"
Type: S-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m)
Users: Sandaime Hokage, Yondaime Hokage
First used by the Yondaime to seal the Kyūbi inside an infant Uzumaki Naruto

Hakke no Fuin Shiki (Eight Trigrams Sealing Style)
Name: Hakke no Fūin Shiki, 八卦の封印式, literally "Eight Trigrams Sealing Style"
Type: No rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m)
Users: Yondaime Hokage
The Hakke no Fūin Shiki was used in conjunction with the Shiki Fūin to seal the Kyūbi within Uzumaki Naruto.

Shisho Fuin (Four Symbols Seal)
Name: Shishō Fūin, 四象封印, literally "Four Symbols Seal"
Type: No rank, Supplementary, Close range (0-5m)
Users: Yondaime Hokage
The jutsu that was used to seal the Kyūbi into Naruto's stomach.

i only thought there was one jutsu involved :S haha
shows how much i know

now my question is, shouldnt he of had to give up his soul first in order to seal the kyuubi? using the shiki fuujin

and if so how did he manage to use the other eight triagrams and the four finger seal?

umm this is from a loong time ago but i'd still like to know

how did orochimaru ever regain the use of his arms if they were sealed away?
the arms of his soul were sealed right?
so that means changing bodies wouldn't help?

Oro could regain the use of his arm thanks to the body transfer Jutsu.

About the “souls” of the arms (this a little bit contradictory, given that for me, the soul is something that can’t be dissected) this has never been fully explained, my guess is that Oro regained new “soul-arms” with the new body he inhabited.
