I felt that it was rushed, but by the end of the episode I think they really just wanted to get stuff left over from the last season out of the way.
They even answered some of the questions I asked 1.5 years ago that I forgot I was wondering about, such as how the ramen guy got to join the rebel group. I understand that the manga has ended so are they adapting the entirety of the last chapters up until the end?

Well, to be fair, Tsukasa is always stressed and easily gets anxious, and he pours a ton into his work. And Rindo not only always goes in with way too much energy, but she is already crippled by the cold. But yeah, it does feel a little off that chefs who are used to giving it their all would be worn out. It's possible, sure, but a little off all the same.

I wonder why the cut the boys in the audience showing shock that Urara's dark side disappeared, and in the process mentioning that they all knew about her true nature from the beginning. It's a minor thing, yes, but I liked that revelation that the boys were going crazy over her while fully aware of the truth.

Season's close to over, main arc just ended. And while I'll admit I'd like it if they had some more animation overall, I did most certainly enjoy it. And I'd honestly been waiting for this part. The sound effect was a nice touch. In the manga, Azami sits there dumbfounded while surrounded by "fwaps". Here, apparently the clothes EXPLODE with loud bangs, coming over and over throughout the room. Would've been cooler if they maybe pushed it even further, maybe show a wave through the audience as EVERYONE gets stripped. But still fun, and the perfect way to put an end to the bastard, just sitting there screaming it cannot be while his own power demonstrates that he's been completely overwhelmed.

Episode 12 was a pretty good epilogue to the Central arc and would have worked fine as a conclusion to the show if not for the very last scene introducing the next villain. I suppose the staff wouldn't have ended the season like that if the next one weren't a done deal. Also, the way Megumi talked about that evil chef at the hot springs sounded like she was summing up an entire arc that the anime's staff decided not to adapt in full.

TBH, though I haven't read much of the next arc I can understand the people who said they'd be fine with it never getting animated. I was kind of happy that they made this episode practically nothing but epilogue content.
Overall, I'd give it a B-. Would be an A if they'd had more actual animation, at least on the foodgasms. Show the little Erina angels actually grabbing at the judges the way the little Soumas went full force against her in the first season. Still a good show that I was happy to watch, but this season at last I started to become really conscious of the amount of motionlessness. |

Tadakoro doing her eat pray love trip on totsuki's dime.. nice
Kinda curious on that new guy they introduced at the end but I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't make another one of these. Overall it was a nice season despite nobody talking about it here EDIT: and then I learn they already greenlit a s5 lol
