Oh yeah right one of the ones I counted was actually from the silhouette.

The devs added 2 news main gun for battleship, a Kai version of the 35,8cm Dazzle and a Kai-Ni version of the 41cm, a triple gun turret with fairies than look like Ise and Hyuuga.

This could be a reference to the Ise province which houses the Ise Grand Shrine or that the Ise-class were originally the 3rd and 4th ships in the Fusou-class. Or maybe it's just a fetish/whim of Shibafu's =3

Either CVL or Assault Carrier, similar to Suzuya's Assault Light Carrier version.

Edit: according to the preview here, its apparently going to be Assault Carrier. I.e. they just removed her superstructure and put 2 BB gun turrets on the front.

Are they kind of making Ise as Akagi and Kaga were pre-refiting? The ''blueprint'' they showed on twitter didn't have much of a island or citadel.

It's like Akagi's triple flight deck design, just that its only 1 and has cannons on the BB hull deck.

So they are like some of the German hybrid carrier designs that float around from time to time. Or enlarged versions of the early 1930s era carrier-cruiser hybrids that would have larger decks but still some forward turrets (instead of the seaplane versions the Japanese got with Tone).

Just check the schematic at the link I've posted. It translates the idea pretty well imho.

Yes which is why its imho questionable if this K2 is really desirable. Assuming Hyuuga will get it too at some point it will leave you with only 2 BBVs, which can be a pain in the ass when it comes to the higher event difficulties.
Technically its enough, but especially the front liners will have some trouble with that (ignoring that a good bunch of them likely has dupe Fusou sisters anyway)

So I kinda hope there will be 2K2s like in Suzuya's case.

Would Hyuuga give up her precious Zuiun? Still, she'd be even more of an Aviation battleships, or perhaps more of a battle carrier since she could probably use some of the normal fighters.

According to the accompanying tweet, the Kai Ise-class (aka Ise K2) will be "Remodeled Aviation Battleships (Assault Aircraft Carrier)" (original: 改装航空戦艦(戦闘航空母艦)).

I'm not sure if this means theirs will be a convertible Kai 2 like SuzuKuma's or a strange creature that attempts both in one form.

Well she'll still have six 14 inch guns forward, which was more than she had in life (forwards anyway), and its half of her original main gun broadside firepower.

So you need two blueprints, one flightdeck and one action report for Ise Kai Ni, urgh... She is the second kanmusu after Musashi Kai Ni though to have five slots (and comes with a Suisei 22 634 air group and a prototype 41cm). Stats are 88 FP, 94 ARM, 85 AA, 57 capacity, 40 luck. And she can still equip Zuiuns.
