One thing I notice every time I listen to the OST concerns the full version of the main theme, Tabi no Tochuu. The TV version sounds wistful and a little bittersweet. But the full version sounds more uplifting and positive. I think the difference lies in the instrumental introduction which is not included in the TV version. The intro on the full version is happier and brighter which effects my overall impression of the song.

Really is a nice OST to just sit and listen to. Really does make you think back through the episodes and how good a time its been.

...What in the world did you type up? It looks like a lot of (wrong) phonetics for the song. Here's the actual lyrics for the opening theme, Tabi no Tochuu:

Just got my OST for S&W..... <drool> still listening, will review when done.

edit: interesting.... the instrumental 'dance' pieces are like a mishmash of a variety of cultures including Slavic, Gypsy, and some Middle Eastern -- just like one might hear while traveling trade routes. Nice to listen to... also really liked the 'action' pieces, very dynamic.

The main OP tune (track 2).... several comments:
1) I found it a bit over orchestrated and with too much background vocals. The piece works best if kept simple because it lets her vocal nuances really shine. She's got some nice bluesy tones.
2) The opening intro.... has a lot of similarity to the opening chords of the radio/tv OP for "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". That's not a bad thing.
Overall, not bad but I'd wish for a bit less in orchestration and backup vocals.

The ED is just as mind-killing sweet as always...

Overall this is one of the better OSTs I own now and the medieval ambience makes it highly useful in my D&D romps.

I was skeptical that this OST could stand up on it's own for listening to but it succeeds with flying colors. Also, I've been listening to the OP and ED like crazy

So, I finally got around to giving the OST a try...

...and Yakusoku no Uta (The Promised Song?) is easily my favourite of the lot. I wished Spice and Wolf followed the tone of this song, rather than Ringo Hiyori's more whimsical mood. Yakusoku no Uta hints at the deeper levels of drama and bittersweet emotions I had expected to find in this series, only to be sadly disappointed.

The more I listen to it, the more I think a Taiwanese or Hong Kong artiste would cover it one day. There is a distinctive karaoke quality to this song that would make it an instant KTV favourite. I wonder if a music video of it already exists?

Although I definitely like the full Tabi no Tochuu, I like that they used the more somber section for the intro. It really emphasized the more emotional segments of Spice and Wolf. (Too bad season one is a little short on those...) Although I don't care much for the end song (I forget the name), I suppose it's meant to do the same for the happier moments.

The translation for the wolf whistling song (ending song) is different for every version I watch.

veoh vids vs youtube vids

peanut for the flies vs peanut butterflies
saw some sugar stars vs thousand sugar stars
wish around the world vs whistle around the world
wolf inside a cart vs wolf inside a girl

which is the proper translation?

Peanut butterflies.

I think there's another two CDs coming out eventually. Not sure what's on them. One has "DJCD" in the title. They might be two versions of the same CD. Both are due out on July 16.

Interesting. I think it's probably just one version, but the people translated it differently since
there isn't any script for it, and the singing is in accented English.

What about the other lyrics?

DJCD(ASIN: B001A35U24) is CD version of Web Radio "Okamic Radio".

Another CD(ASIN: B001A35U1U) is drama CD.
The contents are the radio dramas "Okami to Kohakuiro no Yuutsu" on aired in Okamic Radio.
"Okami to Kohakuiro no Yuutsu" is a sequel of Anime's episode 13, and is a story of the viewpoint of Horo.
The original story is also added in drama CD. (Love triangle of Nora, Lawrence, and Horo!? )
It is only this CD that you can hear the monologue of Horo.
The part 2 is in youtube.

Guess I'll have to buy them both to get everything, right? Cool. Too bad I won't be able to understand any of it. D:

Oh well, I'm addicted, Horo's voice is love and sex and I don't mind the cost.
