I highly recommend Change 123. It's brilliant and I just can't put it down.

I'll add Ga-rei and Psychic Academy. They aren't the best manga series but they are entertaining. Another option is Kure-nai, it's more of a harem, but it's a good series all around so it's worth checking out. Also, most of IM Dal Young's action series has some romance in them. There is also Wrestle! The Under Ground, but we're only two chapters in and I am unsure how much, if any, romance there will be.

You might try the manga adaption of Chrome Shelled Regios.
You could also go with Mirai Nikki... lots of action and romance. But the romance is heavily Yandere flavored.

I can second Ga-Rei manga (not so much the anime) .
Also, Kampfer has some-what of a romance to it and its based around fighting but might seem a little immature in the beginning . Dont know much about Kampfer manga.

Along that line you could also try Psycho Busters, an action/romance manga about a group of psychic teens who escaped from an evil lab. It's not a masterpiece or anything but it's not bad either.
Although if you're able to stomach tragedies and character deaths, the manga Alive maybe a better fit -- not that you can't just read both and more. It's an intense, epic adventure story with romance (oh sweet jealousy!), great action, magnificent art, and plenty of likable, unique characters. |
