What if Tobi is Sasuke... but from the future.

It would make sense, seeing as how Tobi is so protective over Sasuke but not any other members of the Akatsuki. When Oonoki was about to kill Sasuke, Tobi saved his life, and also when Danzo was dying, he told Sasuke to move, saving him (if sasuke died then so would future sasuke). This theory would answer how Tobi was able to get Hashirama's DNA, why he agreed to spare Sasuke during the Uchiha clans slaughter, and i bet he was also trying to get the Kyuubi into Naruto when he attacked the village.

It's just a theory, i wanted to know what everybody thought of it. I don't really think its Sasuke simply because of Tobi's eye techniques are nothing like Sasuke's, but very similar to Kakashi's. But maybe (in the future) sasuke lost his eyes and took Kakashi's.

This is a crackpot theory I'm just posting it here FFS and conversation. If any of you have read or seen Samarai Deeper Kyo, It'd be a reverse of that. Madara would be the reverse of Kyoshiro who instead of discarding his cruelty he discarded (what he believes to be) his weakness (the side of him that wants peace), and that would be Tobi (kyo). Well it's a complete reverse but oh well It'd be odd if it happens.

I really like the obito theory. I just can't count out izuna though. He was introduced as EQUAL to Madara...then he is forgotten by history. Also, where are Madaras original eyes...

madara used the MS so much that he went blind, therefore his original eyes were rendered useless and I assume he just discarded them. that's why he took Izuna's eyes and discovered EMS. also, Izuna was powerful, but not an equal to Madara

According to itachi when fighting sasuke, izuna and Madara were equal in every way and even competed to be the best...I beginning to put some more stock into izuna having a role somehow...what bothers me is Madara didn't self-implant the eyes...

ok thing this thing came to mind, tobi might be the sage of six paths himself, now here is how it goes,
the sage created ninjutsu and divided his power in two, sharingan and rinnegan at the very beginning, through many ages it passed on and expanded over the world, his motive might be to make better of the world but it turns out that people are fightning and killing each other, and that his power that he had passed on brought destruction instead of peace, so now he is trying to correct his mistake by executing an infinite tsukiyomi.

Now jiraya told that the sage possesed the rinnegan, but the sage also has the power of sharingan , so i suppose may be he could switch between them, because in the talk between itachi and tobi, it was releaved that he was an uchiha,
this is the only point conflicting in my theory

^rinnegan and sharingan are essentially the same thing (rinnegan being an evolved sharingan) and they are both on one side of the So6P's lineage, the uchiha namely. the other side got his will of fire and strong body, the senju namely

considering what tobi's standard is now , he has to be some person of great importance

Kagami Uchiha- should be around the same age as Danzo, Tobi showed parts of his face, which is aged like Danzo.

Izuna Uchiha - " Itachi Uchiha suggested that his eyes had been taken by force,[3] however Tobi insisted that Izuna had willingly given up his eyes for the good of his brother and the whole clan, seeing that Madara needed to remain strong to protect the clan from its growing number of enemies." Tobi didnt want to make his oldself into a bad person.
