I'm kind of impressed that it is going to get a second season. Really liked the "Addams Family" sort of sensibility humor blended into sake

So will a.f.k. finish before the 2nd season starts??? (me thinks not) but I give them credit for sticking with a project that obv isnt the easiest

Wonder if theyll sub s2 when it starts.

We can only hope for a miracle. They somehow managed to release 2 or 3 episodes of Lucky Star in a short period of time after their long vacation/recess in the middle of the year. Subbing SZS is quite suicidal for any group if they want to translate/locate all the text and cultural references. Spoonsubs seems to be the only one brave enough to take the task for the second season, though they haven’t finished with Sketchbook. I checked the sub wiki and a.f.k. appears to be crossed out for SZS, so I assume they got enough of doing too much work.

The law of humor reign supreme here; plot-points only carry over from one episode to the next if it is funny.
The Teacher was already fully recovered at the end of the previous episode, implied by his energetic shouting and complaining about how abrupt the story ended.

Thats the wonder of SZS, there is no carry over into the next epi from the last (minus the whole part of the guys lining up to be insulted by Chie-sensei but that wasnt part of the storyline after the recap).

When I watched it raw I was kinda surprised that nothing that happened in 11 was addressed in 12 but then I remembered what I was watching and just enjoyed 12 as is

@The Chaos: I havent watched 12 yet since Im also waiting for a.f.k. but the crazy-eyed girl is in 12 right? (memory lapse from raw has left me in despair) If I remember correctly she does show up again in parts of the manga so depending on what SHAFT decides to animate we're probably see her again in Zuko.

AnimeLink did a pretty good job with episode 12. I love the 2 new characters. I think the 1st one is cute in an odd kind of way, and the scary-eyed girl is just awesome. I hope to see some more of them in season 2 as well.

Their site said they just took the anonymous script and put it to a raw.

Just a thought.....Zoku: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is going to start in a coupla days. So are we going to start a new thread for it, or are we retaining this thread? I'm not too sure about Animesuki tradition on this one.

A new thread for Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei has already been created in the Unaired forum (and it will stay in the Unaired forum until it gets fansubbed or licensed).

I would suggest that any discussion concerning the new season be continued in the new thread.

Looking at the amount of detail they put into their releases which has been unparalleled by any other fansub group, it must have been hard work, so many thanks to a.f.k. for sticking with it!
