I know the likelihood is low, but I personally think that this arc would be very interesting if the twist is that rather than the girl falling for Keima, he would make the guy she likes falls for her and take out the demon all the same.

That's unlikely though. What's more likely is that she falls for the most suave otaku in manga history along the way instead. Nobody can resist the capturing god!
