Boys love manga Love Stage!! by Eiki Eiki and Taishi Zao is set for a 2014 anime series. (Teaser site) Serialized in Asuka Ciel, the manga currently has 3 volumes and is on-going.

Okay, so J.C. Staff has picked up Card Games on Magical Girls, a Pervert on Japanese Alternate History and a Boys Love series.

What a weird choice of things to pick up. O.o

Not to mention Kasai Kenichi choosing a BL series to make his return on. Interesting - I was quite surprised when I saw his name attached to it a few days ago.

I think the last good thing Kasai Kenichi has gotten his hands on was Aoi Hana (I found Bakuman boring and there was a karuta anime last year or so iirc but that was weird). Ever since then he seemed to have gotten the short straw on the adaptations he's been working on. He really needs to go back to directing noitamina shows...

Well, I'm a big Bakuman fan and I actually liked the Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu anime, so I don't share that view of Kasai's career arc. At this stage of his career he probably has a good deal of control over what he works on, so I think it's safe to assume he directs the shows he does because he wants to direct them.

All this nice BL manga out there and they had to go with this... >_> I lasted only one volume, maybe I'll go read some more just to feel some of Kasai's pain in having to direct it. I'll admit it has moments where it's quirky and somewhat amusing but the overall package is... yeah.

Trashy is of course a matter of opinion. I rather enjoy Love Stage!! for what it is, a BL comedy, and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Also the two main cast members have been listed.

Tsubasa Yonaga is rather perfect as Izumi's voice, and Takuya Eguchi isn't bad as Ryuma.

Not to long ago I was joking with a friend that they should get DAIGO to play himself(Shogo), and OMG they did. xD

I actually have some hopes for this anime. I'm usually not a yaoi fan at best, but considering how I was largely unimpressed with the recently aired Majimoji Rurumo, I'll give this a try. I'm hoping for a pleasant surprise despite its genre and rather bland character designs.

Well that was certainly an interesting episode. Now granted I hope he will know that the bride is actually a guy who else this is going to go in circles. The animation was simplistic nothing really outstanding but still pleasing to the eye. Liking the humor in this and OMG they kissed

will see where this goes.

Rei totally crushed Izumi's dream. So cruel.
Izumi really is a mess when he's in the spotlight.
