That was a nice second episode. While they go over the top with Hana's physical condition deteriorating, it does allow for some comedy. Plus I suppose if you did go without much physical activity for a long period of time you would fall behind your peers.

If nothing else though there was some fun moments. Loved Hana just going intense on Eiko about warning her sister to look after her health . In the end the reason she fell behind was a simple one. Got sick at the wrong time and the restrictive nature of the system didn't give her any other option than waiting a year. A logical choice by her mother as well to suggest going away from home to avoid attending school with anyone she knew. Would mean a fresh start, but at least that one stress factor would be gone.

Ok,I would stick with this for now and is surprisingly well animated I enjoy the jokes in this chapter, and I like the girls. This season brought goods CGDCT show.

I did not expect the sauce Bu this certainly proved to be funnier than expected, and all the girls seem likable. This should be a fun show to watch without thinking much.

Be a challenge to keep up with the whirlwind going on inside that girl's head no doubt .

A good combination of likable characters and some laughs. Can see myself enjoying relaxing and following this one.

Watched and enjoyed episode 2. Funny when Hana is trying to hide that she got so weak because she was bedridden. Well, maybe because if her friends fo und out about that... they might realize that she's behind by one year.

Just another enjoyable episode. While I do think Hana should just open up a bit, I'm not surprised she can't bring herself to. A pretty quiet person in general. The more time passes the more awkward she probably feels about bringing it up. Even though no one in that group would consider it a negative.

In a sense that group kind of balances out with two quiet types in Kamuri, Hana along with conversation drivers in Tama and Eiko. Does show the growth available though. Kamuri is still really quiet and shy within that group if Eiko isn't there. No surprise that Tama can't help pressing her a bit when Kamuri's reactions are that cute.

Eiko's harem powers are unrivaled. Played with Kamura for a few days in sixth grade and yet the attachment is that deep. Plus I love how her days off were basically spent on numerous 'dates.' Tama is right, Eiko is building quite the harem.

But yeah, Hana's place is pretty sparse. I guess part of it is explained by spending time with her cousin, but it's impressive the place is so empty after spending a year there.

Well, Eiko is certainly not the stand in for a character from another anime/manga Hakka-ya LOVES writing about. No, sir.

Also, I guess I was making fun of myself when saying Tama was crazy.

At first I thought Hana's crying was too much, but then again, missing out on a whole year of your life is no small thing. Still, please don't think your friends will dislike you because of it, Hana. That's just silly. Hell, Tama will probably find the age gap attractive.

Bullying Kamu shouldn't be this cute.

Episode 3.

OK, I finally get a firm grasp on Eiko and Kamuri this episode, despite being quite clear about who Hana and Tama-chan are at the first episode (although I only know Tamate is an otaku now).

And definitively we have the Tama X Hana ship going. And Eiko is a lesbian seductress. And Kamuri have absentee parents.

Hana benefits from studying when there's nothing else to do... her body is weak, but she is better than the others on lessons.

Eiko and Kamu give Hana a proper birthday present now.. cute bear, and Tama gets one too. Oh, and lastly.. it seems Kamu can't live without Eiko... she becomes really shy when Eiko is not around.

Spoiler for Ep4:

That was another really solid episode. Hiroe is a nice addition to the group and more interesting than I might have thought just from the brief shots in the OP. Definitely someone who can relate to Hana. A good friendship there with the two able to push each other forward.

I think they nailed just how shaken up Hiroe was and how she got to this point. She was on top of the world and things were looking steady. But that big speed bump in life just literally knocked her out. Understandable that she struggled to pick herself back up again and instead just slid further backwards. Never went through that kind of thing, but can imagine how uncomfortable she felt around others when she was still at high school.

From an outsider's point of view Hana's concerns shouldn't impact her friendships in a negative manner. With such good people around her it seems silly for her to worry about it. But fear isn't always rational. It's good for Hana that she has someone around that can relate. Even Hana herself is fairly certain it wouldn't change anything, but that sliver of doubt can be crippling. Sooner or later she'll speak up about it.

Still some good laughs in this one. Hana's desire to see Eiko go to town on Hiroe overtaking her consideration .

Is this is how a bad end for Natsume would look like?

This was a surprisingly good episode, and not just because Tama was funny and Eiko's seduction powers went crazy, but also because Hiroe makes for a great addition to the cast: her story gives Hana's situation more weight and it gives Hana someone she can be totally open with, and ocasionally bully. Not sure if what Eiko did can be called bullying, I can only tell she enjoyed it a lot Actually, the last bit between her and Hana reminded me of Sora Yori and Kimari's lack of resolution; sometimes you just can't go all the way with because you're afraid things could not work, or take a turn for the worse, and in Hana's case this applies even if part of you thinks it won't change a thing (glad to see she at least considers that possibility).

For your reference, the author has stated Tama-chan and the character of the same name in Bottle Fairy are "infinitely similar entities." Tokumi drew both, but Bottle Fairy's story-line is community-sourced.

Surprised to see that Hiroe is a shut -in, and in even worse situation than Hana. Had to order even basic things such as scotch tape online. Well, Hana and friends help her to be able to step out of the room again. Being able to go to the convenience store is a nice first step to being cured from shut-in habit.

After seeing Hiroe in the key art, I was wondering what sort of role she’d play. My gut tells me that Hana's interactions with Hiroe will be what helps her open up about her own situation to her friends.
