I'll probably watch the first few eps, but why does the artwork look so ungundamish. like, its more fitting for Fractle than gundam.. seriously, the art is a major turn off.

Well, now that is part of Gundam, it is technically part of Gundam art. Experiments I guess, remember that this is not made entirely by Sunrise.

He's probably referring to the character art again. You can't make that claim towards the Gundam AGE-1 and the Gundam AGE-3, seeing how both as we know them are thinly-veiled remakes of the RX-78-2 and the Double Zeta.

Is that a sure thing? I don't think there's anything that completely disproves them.

While that's true, we have no reason to believe they're real either at this point or discuss them as such unless its a theoretical discussion (as opposed to consider it like a sure real thing). I say calling them fake is a safe bet as long as they have not been called official yet, which they have not at this point. Even if they do turn out to be real in the future. But I get what your saying, there is a difference between fakes and unproven even if said difference is somewhat marginal.
