It is indeed unfortunate to be on the outside of an artificial border. Please share your frustration about the invisible wall -and videos- with 3Lion Anime, NHK and Aniplex too.

These are the videos posted -so far- in this thread:
The first one is a 20 second long announcement for the second season, embedded in the official site and hosted on Aniplex' YouTube channel. Published there on March 18, 2017. Titled: TVアニメ「3月のライオン」第2シリーズ告知映像 | 2017年10月放送決定

The second one is the most recently released, 41 second, second season PV, with new footage, embedded and hosted there - published September 3, 2017 (17 hours ago). Titled: TVアニメ「3月のライオン」第2シリーズティザーPV | NHK総合テレビにて10/14(土)より毎週土曜23:00放送
(ANN also reported its release: March comes in like a lion Anime's 2nd Season Teaser Video Streamed)

Does the toco toco tv video work where you are? It is a short profile of Manao Kagawa (香川愛生) with a “Day in a Life” format. Episode 48 in their online documentary series. (10m47s). Published on YouTube on March 15, 2017. Titled: "toco toco ep.48, Manao Kagawa, Pro Shogi Player".

I do not know if they have a presence elsewhere...

I hope this is done the same as the last season, with the same level of beauty and quality and commitment to the original. If it's the same then we probably won't have even a single line or sound effect left out. But that raises the question of just how far they'll manage to go. I'm hoping we get to see Hinata enter high school. I think that'd be a good way to conclude the season, and basically follow roughly one full year of the story. The question is whether they'll have enough episodes to finish or they'll wind up two or three episodes short of what they'd need.

This might work for some people here:

That actually doesn't sound half bad. Good job Aniplex.

Last line of the dub preview, "In a small town by a big river"... the show is set in the middle of Tokyo, population 36 million people covering over 2000 square kilometres. "Small town"? If the rest of the translation script is like that then urghh.

I was commenting just on the casting but yeah, that one completely slipped by. Ouch

You might want to take it up with Umino Chica, because it's the exact same thing he says in the Japanese trailer and in the manga itself as well. "Town" is not supposed to be taken so literally here - it just refers to a smaller community inside Tokyo. Specially because Tokyo is so immense, when you live there you don't really think of it as "living in Tokyo", more like "living in Area X, which is in Ward Y of Tokyo", and these can feel like actual towns on their own right.

Good friends of mine live in Sumida-ku in Tokyo. They work elsewhere in Tokyo in Jimbocho and Ginza, travel regularly through other parts of Tokyo in the wide well-integrated Tokyo rail and Tokyo Metro system (and the Keio and other lines too), pay their taxes to the Tokyo Municipal government etc. etc. They're Tokyo folks. About the only explicit benefit they've ever mentioned of being Sumida residents is they get discounts when they visit the Tokyo Sky Tree.

I'd be OK with "neighbourhood" rather than town, it may just be an artefact of translation rather than clumsiness in wording or vocabulary. I wouldn't mind seeing the original Japanese manga text.

Well, at least Rei and Hina sound OK. They're generally just about the most important overall. Momo and Akari on the other hand don't really sound right. Actually, I don't know why, but Momo sounds like maybe Dora the Explorer or some other kid's show about a little kid. Not a good image to bring up IMHO.

I'm glad a dub has been produced so more people will watch the series. It is good to know how the voices come across to different listeners.

「大きな川沿いの小さな町でこれから僕は暮らしてゆく」

Can only see and hear the Japanese clips but from the description this appears to be the line under discussion. If this: "... in a small town by a big river...", was provided in subs and dubs as English translation for part of that line, I'm curious how else these words could or should have been translated? Sounds like the same exact line was incorporated in the promotional clips as appears on page 35 -the final page of- chapter one, volume one of the manga.

Don't know if previews like these work everywhere: Volume one in the online bookstore Bookwalker, gives access to a free sample through their trial viewer. Here is the first volume in Yahoo Japan's online Bookstore: trial viewer.

Come on, I'm sure you understand what I mean. Of course it's Tokyo. But within Tokyo the municipalities/wards/districts are separate administrative entities (to an extent) and most have their own their own special "profile" (even smaller places within wards or districts). It's kind of like how you might be in New York but Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, etc. are not interchangeable. (Btw fun fact but the Tokyo special wards' official English language designation is "cities". It's Adachi City, Setagaya City, etc.)

It's not a neighborhood though, when it's the size of my hometown. Also, English is not my first language but to me "neighborhood" would sound very silly and clumsy in this line. "Town" I think is perfectly fine. I can't think of another English word that would make sense here.

It shouldn't be so strange. In America too, you can have cities within cities. If a city doesn't agree to be annexed as a part of a larger city, then if said larger city claims all the land around it the smaller city will appear to be just a really big neighborhood despite having its own separate jurisdiction and managing itself as a legitimate city. And it would therefore qualify as a "small town" even though everyone outside would just think of it as a part of a big city. All administrative tasks and city-based issues would come from the town, not the surrounding city. And in order to have profits as a town, it would take steps to have the things the townsfolk want and need locally, encouraging citizens and neighbors to come in and buy rather than going out.
