Why so mad? Last time we saw Ichigo was six months ago. And did you really want him to appear when it was time to defeat the villain and end the story? Come on...

This is how it'll go: Ichigo's return will be only a temporary advantage. After a few more victorious fights, someone insanely strong will be deployed (most likely Uryu), and Ichigo will lose. The whole Gotei will be trolled by Yhwach once again, and the plot will progress to the next stage. Maybe Yhwach will decide he's had enough of SS and proceed to the Soul King's realm.

I assume Gotei will retreat to Hueco Mundo and team up with Arrancars (hello Grimmjow!), and then they'll launch a final attack to retake SS and stop Yhwach.

In all honesty, though...I really hope "save" just means Ichigo taking off Kenpachi's eyepatch and backing the hell off.

This was pretty predictable. The only important things was learning that everyone sees Kenpachi as being extremely valuable to their victory and Ichigo's return. So little content so many pages.

Why do I get the feeling that Kubo will put the matter of Yachipachi's disappearance on the back burner for years?

Otherwise...not much to say really: Ichigo's back and apparently Byakuya, Renji, Rukia, Ikkaku and Yumichika are all fine. However, Ichigo being back means he will lose earlier so RIP Soul Society.

which doesn't even make sense. sure kenpachi is powerful, but why is he so vital? there's absolutely no reason for it

No, that's next chapter but he will only hit two. Come to think of it there are still some strong Quincies out there and Ichigo hasn't even seen Uryu. Also, Kyoraku hasn't done a thing, has he?

Bach said that Kenpachi was one of the two 'powers' (the other being Ichigo) in the war that can turn the tide in favour of whoever he sides with, and considering he just took down the strongest Sternritter by himself with just a activated shikai he aptly deserves that status.

This chapter was meh yet again, but at least Ichigo is kinda cool in the last panel.

but yet again there isn't a specific reason. this war will come down to ywach, aizen, urahara, ichigo and the soul king. nobody else matters aside from kubo blatantly trying to convince us that they do somehow for vague reasons
