Since Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's Tale time has passed, now the siblings' daughters open the door(s) to a new legend---

So it looks like two daughters and one son between them?

I was going to say the boy looks exactly like Miroku, but then I remembered it was Rumiko and - well, everybody pretty much looks exactly like everybody else.

The females are Inuyasha and Seshomaru's daughters, the male seems to be a time traveler judging from his modern clothes.

OTOH, we know from the epilogue that Sango and Miroku did have three kids and one of them was a boy. Seems odd that they wouldn't be factored in somewhere anyway.

Can't say I was ever expecting an Inuyasha sequel, but I'm down .

So...red-haired girl is obviously Inuyasha's kid, and black-hair is Sesshomaru's (with Rin?). I wonder if their dynamic will be better then their dad's ?

It just seems weird to me that we'd be getting TWO Rumiko Takashi adaptations, the other one being Mao, in what appears to be a short period of time

Rumiko is legend its not surprise she can pull this Feats.

The cover give me impression this is manga adaptation but AFAIK Rumiko only writting Mao at this moment.

Synopsis on Viz :

In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.

Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.

Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.

It's 3 girls. The boyish-looking one is one of Sesshoumaru's twin daughters.

Isn't the Jinchuu arc being adapted for a Kenshin live-action movie, btw?

Also, I don't think Takahashi's the only mangaka with sameface issues - I hear Tanemura Arina's part of that group too.

Heh - Adachi Mitsuru is the undisputed champion as far as I'm concerned. He literally can't even tell his own protagonists apart.

Based on that Viz synopsis, it sounds like we're going to get a Cute (half-demon) Girls doing... Slice of Life? We've already seen the vs. Evil with Naraku (and hopefully THAT stays dead!), so I wonder what kind of plot this will even have...

Likely not SOL, or much of it.

There are 2 potential areas to explore:

- Finding Setsuna's lost memories.
- Moroha's backstory in the Japanese synopsis says she has little knowledge of her parents and has being living by herself for a long time. Thus a possible mystery of what happened to Inuyasha and Kagome (since they don't seem to be the cruel abandoning types).

Sounds like Sesshomaru's daughters are the leads moreso then Inuyasha's, or more like their arc is driving the plot while she's just along for the ride.

Makes you wonder if they'll address Miroku, Sango and Shippo as well (Maybe even granny Kaede or even Koga.)
(The Japanese will need to recast Miroku's VA though, the original one passed away from a stroke in 2018).

Takahashi supposedly never encouraged Sesshomaru x Rin.

Although, word is the Japanese fandom loves Sesshoumaru x Rin.
