It's amazing what a good redesign (she looks a hundred times better than in the manga) and being voiced by Sawashiro can do for you. Kana is very easily the best girl in the anime.

Parasites are banding together and getting into politics. This doesn't bode well.

Man I remember that dream so funny. I kind of wish they hadn't of changed Kana's reaction to it though after she wakes up.

Spoiler for Comparison to the manga and Kana's reaction:

This is why I like the anime designs, personally I thought a lot of the characters from the manga suffered from same face.

Why does the parasite who killed the Yakuza remind me so much of Razor from Hunter x Hunter?

I'm pretty sure Togashi was inspired by Parasyte
there's also one more character that has a Parasyte parallel
you'll meet him eventually

Heck Togashi showed signs of Parasyte influence from way back in Yuu Yuu Hakusho.

Adolescent dreams can be like that

There definitely is something to Kana having telepathic abilities of some sort. She's never actually seen Shinichi transform, but she has a strangely accurate image of his hand morphing into a blade. The mutated horse (and to a lesser extent, the figures attacking her) also are a bit oddly reminiscent of some of the Parasyte mutations.

I don't know if any of them saw that happen. All they likely know about Hideo's death is that it likely was suicide by cops, presumably finished off by a sniper.

It seems unlikely that Hideo is an average Parasite though. He's displayed far more physical agility and strength than the simple head parasites, and he's also completely shrugged off two serious injuries to his limbs.

Yuko was an idiot for confronting Shimada, but I don't think I'd blame her for throwing paint thinner. If anything, I'd praise her for quickly reacting, although I wonder how she survived her jump so unscathed.
I'm still puzzled as to how the government managed to tell people to start pulling other people's hair without giving any information regarding parasytes though... I can't think of any other explanation that would make me start pulling strangers' hairs out upon meeting them XD

I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't blame someone for maiming a space alien who was trying to kill them.

Whoa I didn't know Togashi/YYH were inspired by this, or that Parasyte is that old. o.o

Yes, it's a pretty old manga, published in the end of the 80s and early years of 20s. Around 25 years ago. Scary.

I was honestly shocked when hearing that it would receive an adaption after so many years.

The guy that locked eyes with Shinichi's probably five parasites in one body. One for the head and each of the limb. No other reason to explain how he could have gone on such a massacre without morphing himself.

I'm wondering why Kana did not state that she was detecting a bunch of "Shinichi's" nearby when she came to see Shinichi. There were so many parasytes that it would almost impossible for her not to notice at such close range.

Kana shook hands with Shinichi a couple of times, and each time she reacted as if she sensed something strange.

I'm gonna put this in spoiler tags, just in case.

Spoiler for Spoilers for HxH and Parasyte:

Oh wow, Togashi was inspired by Parasyte? That makes a lot of sense actually. The Chimera ants bear a lot of similarities with Parasytes in how they adapted towards/against humanity. I remember when Mel even made the same point about how chimera ants killing humans is no different to humans killing cattle.

Is it true that there would be no Parasyte next week?
A week without best girl Migi is so painful...

Yes, there is something something Toyota something something FIFA World Cup playoffs showing during that time, so there will be no Parasyte this week.

Damn that sucks.
It might be good for MADhouse to have some break, however, we want no recap eps in such a tight schedule, and of course, we don't want them to kill themselves yet.

It seems manga purist is pissed about changing character design, so decided to remake anime opening with original manga design.

EDIT
Originally the videos were from from Nico Nico, but deleted.

Comparison
