The game follows the nine members of the "Going Home Club," a club that was formed because the characters want to escape from Mobius and go home. The game's title refers to the "Caligula Effect," which is a pattern of behavior where one wants to see or do something more if it is denied to them.

It is time to loop Distorted Happiness like a madman.

But really, compare to the anime, Overdose is far more important.

The story was pretty good, but the gameplay was.... Ehhh. Here's hoping Overdose will improve it.

Also, too bad we won't get the FeMC. Missed the oppurtunity for double Sawashiro.

I haven't played the game yet so I can't watch the anime. And when I do play the game I won't feel like watching the anime. Either way I'm sunk.

Actually, if you have a PS4 it might better to hold off on that and wait to see if Atlus will release the updated port. I there quite a good chance of that happening since they did already bring over the vita version.

I wouldn't mind playing the PS4 version, the only problem is the timing. I'd prefer to play the game before the anime comes out. And the Japanese version doesn't release until May 2018, and who knows how long it would take Atlus to release the NA version if they did.

Bad idea though. Because in terms of content, Vita version is mere a playable beta.

PS4 has double the content no kidding.

The videogame was pretty bad and story a mess playing as deep..wonder if the anime would be decent, i'm suprise this of all things getting an anime

Caligula has been a project so successful because the developers and the fandom was able to appreciate each other so much.

Both side acknowledge what can be done and what they want, and they tried their best to a support each other.
The developers answered tot he3 call for a proper Wicked arc and released the after story novel, and the fandom, united to buy it.
The developers answered to the call for the full version of the boss battle theme, and the fandom united to buy the OST.
The developers even answered to the calls of the fans wanting the VA themselves do the singing. You simply cannot imagined how the fandom totally went "shut up and take my money already.".

This anime is just the natural next step. It is the fruit of the both sides being honest and open to one another.

The Overdose probably is the answer to the call of the fans wanting Satomi's writing in proper depth and length. As well as to the call to give Shadow Knife and Wicked some salvation.

Huh, didn't know that it has a pretty strong fanbase. I honestly haven't tried the game but I remember liking the concept when it was still announced.. since the game was on VITA, I pretty much give up on it because I lost the console lol

I have to wonder which version of the story they plan to follow, since the updated game doesn't release until after the anime should start airing.

Anime?
It covers the Vita version only.

It'll not have the new characters in the PS4 version.
Nor the anime is going to cover the new story arc where you join the bad guys.

This one is reasonable though, since the FeMC is one of the new addition for the remake, can't spoil the new content. I do hope she'll make cameo or something.

Let's not kid ourselves. Even if she wasn't a new addition, they would have never gone for her. It just doesn't happen.
