Writing.

A lot of it reeks of lazy writing.
Quite.

Forget about military logic. Most shows are terrible in that regard so it is usually a minor annoyance at most for me. The main thing I usually look for is consistent internal logic. The complete lack of common sense is what broke suspension of disbelief for me in episode 17. The writers were clearly setting up RF6 for failure in a very obvious and lazy manner.
That's good to know.

Why is Nanoha flying so slowly?
Terrain? Anyway, I'm not buying it.

Why isn't Hayate helping?
The head Honcho's are tasked to be defended by mages. She was also limited. And obviously, limiter release is a no-no for that episode in order to pave way for a limiter release in ep.20. Plot device. I don't really mind. And according to A's SS 3. The Wolkies' lives are inexplicably tied to hers. So that warrants much more protection as they run the risk of crippling a large chunk of their workforce if she falls. They were a just a little overly cautious in my view.

Quote:
Why isn't Signum helping?
Head Honcho's. The high ranking people(Regius and the other higher-ups) have priority over whatever is happening outside. Signum and Schach are the only passable melee bodyguards inside. And there are a whole lot of important people inside. So it at least computes for me.

Quote:
That would be a valid point but as you already pointed out, the writers had already portrayed the TSAB as an incompetent organization from top to bottom so the audience hardly has reason to give the command echelon the benefit of the doubt there.
I'm willing to give them some more shots.

Quote:
Subaru, on the other hand, seems to be getting smarter. Maybe they swapped brains somehow
Wow. It seemed to hurt you a whole lot more than it hurt me.
Her performance might not be portrayed well. But I don't think that she's incompetent.
In-world standards after all. Just the basic defense and character development parts bothers me most.

Quote:
I liked Teana's arc and her increasing competence.
And her recent performance as well.

Quote:
She disappeared just as she was getting interesting.
A little late in the introduction.

Quote:
I keep on getting the feeling that her fortune telling power is her only real power.
Maybe... They're being ambiguous about the Ancient Belka skills.
Technical?

Hayate = nuker
Carym = prophecy
Acous = hunting hounds

Quote:
A lot of the problems can be attributed to sloppy/lazy writing and poor time budgeting.
And excessive fanservice.

so I'm guessing that in episode 24, "lightning", we might see Fate go into her Sonic form?

I'm not sure if more speed is the right idea though... For Signum it might work, but against her current opponents?

Sometimes, sheer speed is the key to victory. A weak thing about Numbers is that they basically aren't too shielded too well (see 2 Numbers go down to Teana after one hit each), so if she times it right, she can finish her OODA loops faster than her opponents can react. We'd see.

Perhaps, but these two numbers that she's up against are also geared for speed, or at least Tres is... And not to mention Jail's own ability, which seems to be able to match her speed... (I'm only guessing from that one scene of course)

I think a change of tactics might be wiser.

And not to mention that they are underground with little to no room to move around. If you're fast but have no room to use your superspeed, what good is it?

First of all, that space is actually rather wide. Second of all, while most mages of such high rank can have Speed (Nanoha can Flash Move, and even the Shafted to Nothing Hayate can match Nanoha's flying speed), one of Fate's supposed advantages is that she has the Agility to go with the Speed. Heck, even Erio can use Sonic Move in the much more confined spaces of an escalator.

The important thing here, when faced with 3 opponents with comparable overall combat coefficients, is to use surprise and shock. Do this well and the enemy's speed won't matter because Scarlietti's gang cannot come up with the correct answer to having the tables turned to them. To maximize success probability, you need Rapid Acceleration, thus Sonic Move.

And another!

I suppose the Massive Wonders PV has given us a hint about what to expect, since Secret Ambition, Nana was wearing something very similar to Fate's current BJ.

... Nana "escorted off" by MIWs? MIWs dying here and there?

*thinks and links to Jail's hideout*

...

Why, that'll be nice. (no ecchi?)

I was talking about Nana's costume being similar to Fate's Barrier Jacket; and in Massive Wonders, Nana's then looked like a possible Sonic Form.

The red outfit she wore (regarding the Massive Wonders PV)?

*Imagine Fate in that*

....

A bit too funky, no? Hmm...

whats this!? fate chan getting captured so easily...blasphemy!! they could have at least let her get her ass kicked around a bit more before caging her *sigh* hard to believe how such a puny thing can ever tie her down
rather slow ep imo ~ the fights are okey but there are too many cut points hence makes each sequence feel disjointed :/ not to mention pointless talking (zomg i dont care about zafira just get on with the fight!? >_<)

Wow, don't you just hate Quattro? She thinks she's a hotshot and that look, you just want to punch her.

I hope the fire continues to burn....

Anyways, now with the subs out, I finally get to see what Laguna says.

She said her left eye is fine now, but can she still see through that eye or it's just a decoration? (Her left eye doesn't seem to be as "shiny" as her normal eye.

And finally!! Some man-to-man discussion in the show (Zafira/Vice).

Nvis, put it this way, if it was an artificial non-functional decorative eye, scars wouldn't matter by now. So it should mean it's her real eye and it's functional again.
