Reptilians as a whole are pretty sturdy, their hearts continue to beat even after you remove them and even if you cut the head of a snake it will continue to move around for a while, Dragons must be the epitome of said health. So I have no doubt the doctor has enough experience to remove tissue from all her major organs without killing Eco, she would no doubt end disable for life with less than half a brain to speak of, but nonetheless alive. If the doctor really had the intention to kill Eco she would have done from the moment she abducted her so her connection with Ash was cut and the corpse would never be found.

Did they skip a scene? It goes from meeting->next morning but suddenly everyone seems to know he has a pal and nobody makes a fuss that she looks like a human. I could have sworn in the manga they made a big deal out of it.

There was a scene where Rebecca and the Princess find them shortly after her birth that got skipped.

Well, they skipped the part where Rebecca flies up and finds them, but they don't have any kind of huge announcement that I recall.

It was just rumors spreading everywhere. Ash is fairly famous as a problem child, and there were other people with Rebecca when she found them.

Ok, Eco's body freaks me out. It is not human body I rather have light beams out of nowhere. I feel like someone mutilated her. Will see how events unfolds. With Eco's attitude it is no -brainer to figure out who rides whom during riding training.

I still found it wierd that they didn't report to authorities that Ash's Pal got kidnapped and also no report on prof who did clearly an illegal act. The human form rarity lacked impact since noone but professor got curious about it. So far i'm more interested in episodic characters than main pair.

how would they be able to explain it, first of all eco is prabably the first dragon with a human form so i doubt the authorities would believe them and second she is a dragon and in this story being able to kidnap or steal one in broad daylight is next to impossible because one only its partner is able to ride or calm it and 2 you would need something very big to transport it heck the only reason eco was able to be taken is because of her human form

They show her naked too often for that. Since they still appear to prefer to have some censoring, they're going with barbie-doll anatomy. It's pretty standard, particularly when showing naked girls who are clearly too young for that sort of thing. Plenty of series have made use of that in the past.

There is a reason we call this show generic. The protagonists of a generic series never report things to the proper authorities: they always charge off to deal with whatever problem arises themselves.

Silvia and Rebecca had no problems believing that Eco is a dragon even though they didnt see the river event. Noone accused him of picking homeless girl. For them it seemed like everyday thing.

Then of course I would ask wether dragons are rarity in this setting? Do you have to register your dragon somewhere or is it nothing more than a pet.

The anime cuts out that it was Rebecca who picked Ash up from the river. If you notice she had known the whole situation and the information spread rather quickly.

Dragons themselves aren't, but a human-form dragon is a first. Apparently Ash explained on the way back, and between her horns and their Astral connection it was enough to convince them.

Also, everyone in their academy has a dragon or a ....larvae? so it isn't necessary to register them.

She's actually shown to fake being asleep. Ash noticed this and she just smiled it off. For whatever reason the anime skipped that exchange.

Reason is probably far simplier. She is best scientist in country with great authority and probably connections. Ash is teenager who cause trouble as long as he is in school.

I don't get why Ash is established as a problem child. He doesn't cause trouble or do anything real problem children do. For a #1 problem child, he sure attends classes diligently. It reminds me of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai in which the main character Kodaka is labelled as a delinquent even though he does, well, nothing.

On one hand, it's convenient that there isn't alot of fuss over the first ever human-form dragon. On the other hand, it's really too convenient. I bet Ash could grow another head and everyone would be like "Oh yeah, that"

-He appearently doesn't pay attention in class, otherwise priness wouldn't have to give so nise expository speach about magic

-and we saw him on our own eyes cause trouble in combat training, due his recklessness.
Ash the troublemaker seems pretty legit to me.
