Paying for Crunchyroll generally lets you watch simulcasts a week earlier, gets rid of adds, and maybe gets you better resolutions (?), but you can watch almost everything for free, if you don't pay (not - in my region - Shirokuma Café - which is the only exception I found so far).
So, yeah, you need no subscription to watch most stuff on Crunchy. |

I need more! MORE MORE MORE MORE!
these OVAs have been smashing. Where the hell has Makoto been all this time? She's so high-energy and loud compared to Ono, it's suffocating yet endearing. Yaguchi's mom also proves time and time again how incredible she is. She's a bamf |

Those episodes were so great. I wish we could have gotten them earlier, as they offered a satisfying "conclusion" to the first season. That moment when Haruo asked her which gift she preferred and she took out the ring was amazing.
I'm happy Haruo won against Hidaka, and that she hasn't given up despite what she initially said. I just hope she's done with the "go out with me if I beat you" nonsense at least. Not that she stands a chance either way. These episodes have cemented (not like they needed to) that Haruo is madly in love with Oono, he's the only one who doesn't realize it. I guess I should start calling Oono "Akira" now that we've got another Oono in the house! Makoto made quite an impression. She's the polar opposite of her sister. Her personality reminds me of Haruo's mother, who was incidentally as cool as usual in these eps. I can't wait for the next season!

Just finished season 1. I'm not into romance stories but the whole video game theme served well as a bait. I didn't mind the animation but Haruo sure can take a beating both in gaming and real life. Was the ending like this because they were catching up to the manga?
Kept learning cool Street Figther stuff I never thought like Guile being as heck in his debut. Also, gotta love that season 2 poster. It's identical to Street Fighter II |
