Dunno, given how it got a million retweets in Japan in like one day and made the Nintendo Stock jump from 44.64 to 46.61 which is more than when the last Nintendo Direct was introduced; I find the whole thing impressive. As in how impressive it is that a single gender bender villain 4-koma fan-comic can get so out of hand over sunday. xD
The artist who made the original Bowsette 4-koma had 70 followers, now I think he is breaking 500k or so. xDDD An if you think about it it kinda fits the theme of Watamote theme. It really was't Bowser's fault he was not popular, he was just the wrong gender. XDDDDD Aaaaand I just found out that the artists of One Punch Man, Goblin Slayer, Hotaru, Dragon Maid and that Ai-chan with the blue pages all drew amazing fanart of Bowsette as well. Holy...

Nah, he just needed to change into a more popular direction while still being the same ol' lovable baddie in the inside. Just like Tomoko! And you know watamote will reference this sooner than later.
When do Kamelie, Wakaki and Ume-sensei join the fray, I wonder. Pretty much every other artist I know has. On more thread related news, the most awaited watamote doujin finally got scanned! Badly. Still, it delivers. |

Probably won't be the sole manga who reference to that. Mario is beloved in Japan, Mangas are always bit over the top, gender-bender not unheard of, EVERYONE on the internet knows about it by due social medias and it will probably stay for the next weeks/months till a new craze replaces it. Yeah; I have seen it, was great. Also saw an Emoji doujin that changed the way about Emoji falling for Tomoko a little, so she was basically into her since the very beginning aka the "missing her pants in the bathroom" part. Pretty fun read though I can only speak about the pictures I saw on it. xD

One of the rare occasions where both west and east jump to a trend simultaneously and embrace it while those who don't are just outcasts it's hilarious.
Had Tomoko been a guy her life would have been easier and unlike Bowsete it was intentional here.

Goblin Slayer made Bowsette real badass though. I like the many different interpretations people got about Bowser as Bowsette. Never knew I wanted to see all the ways Bowser could behave as a woman.^^

I don't think any of us knew we wanted to see Tomoko get a lesbian harem, yet here we are It's impressive how little I need to reach to make comparisons. I find both phenomena so fascinating. There's also a lot of Boo stuff floating around now as well, which honestly makes sense, those guys have always been cute. |

Yeah, that was my thought as well. Tbh, this fits the title better than at the start of the manga where it felt like other people, aka the world, were at fault that Tomoko was not popular. In Tomoko's POV that is. With this fancomic you could really say, that it is the girls fault that Tomoko is not popular (with guys). xD As she should. Changed from a quiet, lonesome girl getting angry at her sole friend finding other friends to become a wall-crashing Tomoko obsessed (girl)friend. Still hilarious, scary but hilarious.
